ACHIEVE is a five-year, USAID-funded global cooperative agreement with the dual objectives of attaining and sustaining HIV epidemic control among at-risk and hard to reach pregnant and breastfeeding (PBF) women, infants, children, and youth, as well as to mitigate the impact of HIV/ AIDS and prevent HIV transmission among these populations; and supporting the transition of prime funding and implementation to capable local partners in order to meet the PEPFAR goal of 70% of funding to local partners.  As part of USAID/Namibia’s DREAMS programming for vulnerable adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), ACHIEVE will implement DREAMS interventions in two geographic regions (4 districts). Jhpiego, through ACHIEVE, is looking for Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Director who will be working with ACHIEVE Namibia team to implement DREAMS activities.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the design of visual materials that enhance Jhpiego’s global brand. As a member of the Global Engagement & Communications Department (GECO), the Graphic Designer will collaborate with GECO staff, as well as other Jhpiego departments, to produce, re-purpose, and enhance online, print and multi-media materials, including communications and fundraising materials, e-learning and multi-media training packages, presentations and program reports, manuals, information sheets, proposals, illustrations, graphics. The staffer also will oversee adherence to brand and marking plans and logo guidelines.

Temporary COVID-19 Ventilator Facility Level Assessment Data Collection Team Member needed to support a critical care health facility assessment in selected healthcare facilities, designed to assess capacity to absorb and use donated ventilators to support management of clients requiring ventilation due to COVID-19.  The assessment will inform the provision of targeted technical assistance (e.g. training, mentorship) for COVID-19 critical care and will cover intensive care and oxygen infrastructure at a set of designated facilities.  Under the guidance of the Technical Coordinator, the Data Collector will be responsible for conducting onsite or virtual facility visits, interviewing relevant providers including intensive care unit physicians, anesthesia providers, ICU nurses and biomedical engineers, completing the tool on paper and then enter the data into an online data repository.  Once the assessments are completed, the Data Collector will contribute to preparation of a report analyzing assessment results, making recommendations, and present the findings to relevant stakeholders.   Duration of Position:  1 month, with possibility of extension

COVID Ventilation Technical Assistance Coordinator needed to lead planning and ensure smooth implementation of a critical care health facility assessment designed to assess capacity to absorb and use donated ventilators to support management of clients requiring ventilation due to COVID.  The assessment will inform the provision of targeted technical assistance (e.g. training, mentorship) for COVID-19 critical care and will cover intensive care and oxygen infrastructure at a set of designated facilities.  The Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring completion of assessments of identified facilities across Ecuador, overseeing teams of data collectors who will conduct the assessments through both onsite and virtual facility visits, interviewing relevant providers including intensive care unit physicians, anesthesia providers, ICU nurses and biomedical engineers, completing an online questionnaire with survey results (if this cannot be done at the time the assessment is conducted).  Once the assessments are completed, the Coordinator will prepare a report analyzing assessment results, making recommendations, and present the findings to relevant stakeholders.  The Coordinator will work closely with international and national assessment team members as well as Jhpiego technical, program and operations departments to plan and implement a rigorous health facility assessment at selected facilities across the country. Based on the results of each individual facility assessment, the Coordinator will manage focused technical assistance to support facility readiness to provide critical care services, with particular focus on supplemental oxygen support and ventilator care for COVID-19.

Jhpiego with funding from USAID in implementing the Adolescents and Children, HIV Incidence-reduction, Empowerment, and Virus Elimination (ACHIEVE) — a five-years USAID’s flagship initiative to address the needs of children, young people, and breast-feeding women affected by HIV. This includes supporting local organizations in serving these populations and ultimately building their capability to receive direct U.S. government funding for programs at scale. The project leverages the full strength of its consortia and related private and public sector stakeholders to support countries attain and sustain HIV epidemic control. Led by Pact, core consortia partners include Jhpiego, Palladium, No Means No Worldwide, and WI-HER. The project is implemented in Juba within five neighborhoods of Juba, Munuki, Kator, Gumbo and Skerikat. The scope of work is expanded to include Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and DREAMS programming. While the OVC program target children and adolescents aged 0-17 years, the Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) program has been designed to respond to the needs of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) aged 9-24 years old.   South Sudanese nationals who are qualified and currently provide services in the same facilities and have previous experience working with an international organization are preferred.

The GBV/Protection Manager is responsible for the smooth implementation of GBV project activities ensuring achievement of project goals and objectives are met. S/he will provide supervision and direction for GBV activities within the DREAMS and OVC program in Juba ensuring that GBV survivors access safe, appropriate and confidential GBV case referral, quality psychosocial support services, case management, legal aid and coordination with community structures, protection and GBV clusters and other key stakeholders.   South Sudanese nationals who are qualified and currently provide services in the same facilities and have previous experience working with an international organization are preferred.
