Program Officer will work in close collaboration with the Senior Program Manager for Portfolio 5, Country Directors, and Finance Manager to manage country operations for several portfolio countries including Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Niger.  Program Officer  is responsible for ensuring that good project management practices and tools are being used to stay on scope, schedule, budget for the project. Jhpiego seeks a Quality Improvement (QI) Advisor for Jigawa State for The Global Fund funded, “Quality Improvement and Leadership and Management Strengthening through Technical Assistance”. The project aims to provide support to Global Fund programs in 5 countries: Chad, DRC, Niger, Nigeria and Mali to implement an innovative approach for integrated supportive supervision (ISS) that includes collaborative improvement, training, a web-enabled supervision checklist, and supervision of supervisors to improve health worker performance and quality of care for integrated HIV/TB/Malaria/primary health care services for underserved population, as well as strengthen leadership and management skills among Ministry of Health staff for QI and improved integrated service delivery in health facilities and communities.   The QI advisor will work under the supervision of the Nigeria Project Lead and Regional Program Manager to lead quality improvement and leadership and management activities in Jigawa state working closely with the State Ministry of Health and other government agencies and with the QI specialist.

Deputy Project Director will provide management and technical leadership support for the COVID- 19 response in Ecuador. Under the USAID-funded RISE project, Jhpiego will be implementing interventions to support the Government of Ecuador to prevent, detect and respond to COVID-19. A significant focus of our work is accelerating and strengthening the technical and operational capacity of local healthcare workers to deliver high quality COVID-19 vaccination services, prevent the nosocomial spread of SARS-CoV-2, provide quality case management and allow for the safe maintenance of routine essential services, including the provision of clinical technical assistance around the triage of patients and appropriate use of emergency care resources, safe and effective use of medical equipment, and supporting the mental health and resilience of healthcare workers. The position will operate under the leadership of the RISE Ecuador Program Director and will oversee and ensure the technical and methodological processes of all project activities. In the absence of the Project Director, the Deputy Project Director will be required to undertake the responsibilities of that position on a temporary basis.

Jhpiego serves as the Secretariat for AlignMNH, an initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) in collaboration with the United States Department for International Development (USAID). The main purpose is to align global maternal and newborn health (MNH) advocacy, metrics, financing and action in support of accelerated improvements in MNH and well-being in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). The main features of AlignMNH include a bi-annual conference series (https://imnhc2023.org) and an online Knowledge Hub (https://alignmnh.org), which are guided by an international Steering Committee of 20 thought leaders.   Jhpiego is looking f­­­­­or an in-house Design Strategist to join the AlignMNH team. This is an exciting new position to lead the UX, design research, and design strategy for a global public health initiative in maternal and newborn health. The Senior Design Strategist will ensure inclusion, engagement, and representation of the voice of the customer and those with lived experience, enhance the current AlignMNH strategy and offerings (the Knowledge Hub, convenings (in-person and virtual), and co-design future strategy and offerings. This individual will help the team to prioritize and ensure a cohesive journey. They will also recognize gaps, where additional design assistance is required (such as product design, interaction design), and advise AlignMNH, accordingly. The ideal candidate is adept at deeply understanding user experience, sifting through the clutter of detail, to identify essential, strategic questions and core insights to inform a holistic experience. The ideal candidate will integrate inclusive design, equitable design and/or design justice principles, celebrating and including diverse and multicultural stakeholders.   Jhpiego is currently working on a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week.

Jhpiego seeks a Senior Malaria Advisor (SMA) to provide technical leadership and project oversight in the areas of prevention and case management for an upcoming USAID-funded health systems strengthening project focusing on family planning, maternal and child health, and infectious disease (including malaria and possibly COVID) in Guinea. This project will support the Ministry of Health (MOH) to implement activities to improve poor health outcomes in Guinea. The project will operate over a 5-year period.   The resident SMA will provide strategic and technical leadership, guidance and overall direction for the implementation of the malaria components of GLHSS. The SMA will oversee the work of all those involved with the GLHSS malaria program in twenty health districts in three regions of Guinea and six communes of Conakry. This individual works in close coordination with the COP, USAID and other Senior Technical Advisors on the GLHSS team to ensure effective integration across clinical domains and levels of health service delivery (community, primary care, referral to hospital). In collaboration with project team and partners, the position will support the design and implementation of service delivery strategies based on scientific evidence. Other key responsibilities include supervising technical staff and adjusting project activities based on monitoring at the regional and district level.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Inclusive of a bi-annual conference series and an online Knowledge Hub, AlignMNH will enable the MNH community to effectively and efficiently share new evidence, identify opportunities and gaps, track progress, cultivate supportive networks, and galvanize energy in the MNH community.    The bi-annual conference and other events will provide a much-needed opportunity to convene the global MNH community and key partners on a predictable regular basis to publicly recognize country progress toward agreed metrics, create innovative ways to track progress, share evidence, new ideas and effective implementation strategies, catalyze investment, and fuel global and national action. It is envisioned that countries will work and learn together at the conference and support a new generation of leaders, unified behind a vision of accelerating progress toward MNH targets.   The Senior Manager, Conference and Events will lead the management and organization of the bi-annual conference series and other AlignMNH events and convenings. The position will lead the management of strategic and operational elements before, during and after conferences and events, both in person and virtual. The ideal candidate will have experience planning and executing international conferences, as well as hybrid and virtual events. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, an ability to multi-task, meticulous attention to detail, and superior organization and planning skills.  Candidates must be comfortable working in high-pressure situations and on high-visibility events that involve global leaders, senior officials and high-level stakeholders.      Jhpiego is currently working on a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week.

Sr Program Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the Program Officer, Finance Manager, and representatives from different Jhpiego departments (e.g., Contracts Management Compliance Division [CMCD], Travel, Procurement, Global External Communications Office [GECO]) to support country teams such as Indonesia and global projects to successfully implement projects.  The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that administrative tasks are completed. The exact support needed will vary by country, but will likely include: US-based procurement, processing contracts, setting up payments from US, setting up meetings, taking notes, reviewing/editing reports, minor translation needs for certain countries, etc

The Partnerships and Private Sector Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing multi-stakeholder partnerships, with key for profit and not for profit private sector institutions, other donors, academia, civil society organizations and faith based-organizations for the USAID-funded Health and Nutrition project, led by Jhpiego in Guatemala. Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University dedicated to improving the health of women and families.   The project aims to achieve significant and sustainable improvements in health and nutrition outcomes in  21 municipalities in Huehuetenango and Quiche,  resulting in reductions of stunted children, and maternal -neonatal and child morbidity and mortality,. This will occur as the result of improving quality of service delivery and strengthening health systems, especially of human resources for health (HRH) in Guatemala. The project will end in July 2025.
