Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University. Jhpiego develops innovations to enhance the capacity of health care workers, strengthening health systems and improve delivery of care towards improving the health and well-being. Jhpiego has been collaborating with the Government of Malawi and various partners in implementing a wide-range of interventions in maternal, newborn and child health, family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention and care and treatment, since 1999.
High-Impact Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (HI-MNCH) project Phase 2 aims to avert preventable maternal, newborn, and child deaths by delivering a focused package of life-saving Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) interventions. The focus of the project includes supporting accessibility of MNCH services at the community and facility level, including supervision/on-the-job training to ensure quality of lifesaving care for women and children across the antenatal, birth, postnatal, infant and child health care continuum.

The State Finance Officer (SFO) reports to the State Team Leader and will be responsible for providing Financial Management support to Jhpiego state office. The SFO will ensure that financial management systems and processes follow Jhpiego, donor rules and regulations, and other applicable approved procedures at all times. The SFO will be responsible for the daily entry of financial data into the agency’s software and periodic preparation of accurate financial reports. The State Admin Officer (SAO) reports to the State Team Leader and will be responsible for providing administrative support to Jhpiego state office. The SAO will ensure that administrative processes follow Jhpiego, donor rules and regulations, and other applicable approved procedures at all times. The SAO will be responsible for ensuring cost consciousness, efficiency of administrative operations, and maintaining an on-site administrative system required to assure the integrity and effective performance of admin operations.
The Grants Officer (GO) will provide support to Jhpiego Nigeria in strengthening the financial management systems of sub-awardees funded by Jhpiego through international governments and private foundations. He/she will work closely with all sub-grantees of Jhpiego across active awards and projects.
The MCGL/RISE Integrated Health Project Community and Referral Specialist/s will play a crucial role in strengthening community engagement and ensuring effective referral pathways for pregnant women, newborns, and children under five years old within the project areas. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community leaders, community health workers (CHWs), and health facilities to improve access to quality MNCH +Nutrition services including malaria where applicable. The Governance & Systems Strengthening Advisor will provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to strengthen governance, leadership, and health systems for integrated Primary Health Care (PHC) in alignment with Nigeria’s Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (HSRII) and Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp). The Advisor will ensure that planning, budgeting, and accountability mechanisms at national and sub-national levels are institutionalized to improve PHC performance and sustainability.
