Position Reports To: Project Director, Jhpiego Position Supervised: M&E, Digital Health, KM Technical Team Location: Baltimore, Maryland   Overview: The Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation Director will provide technical leadership, oversight and strategic direction for monitoring and evaluation (M&E), digital health, and knowledge management activities for an upcoming Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded Global Health Security Agenda project. The project aims to improve prevention of avoidable epidemics including naturally occurring outbreaks and intentional or accidental releases of dangerous pathogens; improve ability to rapidly detect threats early, including detecting, characterizing, and reporting emerging public health threats; and respond rapidly and effectively to public health threats of international concern. This includes strengthening the capacity of national laboratory systems, surveillance systems, human resources, and emergency response operations. The project will operate over an anticipated five-year period.   The Surveillance and M&E Director will support and coordinate surveillance system assessment and strengthening activities, surveys, and evaluation in close collaboration with local government partners and stakeholders. Additionally, the Director will oversee the collection, management, analysis, and use of project data, ensuring that lessons learned are disseminated among relevant stakeholders.   This position is contingent upon award from the CDC.

The Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Advisor will work on an upcoming USAID integrated health project in Burkina Faso. The project aims to reduce malaria morbidity and mortality, as well as strengthen access to and the quality of care for the most vulnerable populations – women and children – across multiple service entry points and across the continuum of care. This includes strengthening the capacity of health providers to deliver high quality management, diagnosis, and treatment.The project will operate over an anticipated five-year period.   The SBC Advisor will work with the project COP and DCOP to oversee social and behavioral change related programs, assisting the MoH and other partners to coordinate, design, implement, monitor and evaluate effective SBC at national and sub-national levels.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will lead monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) project in eSwatini, in close coordination with M&E Manager in Jhpiego SA. The position will assist develop an M&E system to capture high-quality, relevant and timely data for programmatic decision-making, improving the quality of interventions.
