The Senior Program Officer (SPO) will provide crucial programmatic and operational support for the overall coordination, implementation, and management of the RISE Ethiopia Maternal, Newborn, Child Health, and Nutrition (MNCH-N) project. This role will ensure efficient project execution, facilitate effective communication among teams and partners, and contribute to the achievement of program objectives, particularly within the context of operating in conflict and humanitarian affected areas.
The Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Advisor will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the design, implementation, and management of the comprehensive MEL system for the RISE Ethiopia Maternal, Newborn, Child Health, and Nutrition (MNCH-N) project. This role is critical for promoting data-driven decision-making, facilitating adaptive management, ensuring data quality, and demonstrating project impact, particularly within conflict and humanitarian affected contexts.
The Project Director will provide overall leadership, management, and strategic direction for the RISE Ethiopia Maternal, Newborn, Child Health, and Nutrition (MNCH-N) project, ensuring the achievement of project goals and objectives including within conflict and humanitarian affected regions of Ethiopia. This role will be responsible for technical leadership, administrative oversight, and financial management, serving as the primary point of contact with the donor, the Ministry of Health (MOH), and other key stakeholders.
The Nutrition Advisor will provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, implementation, and oversight of nutrition interventions across the RISE Ethiopia project, ensuring integrated and high-quality service delivery. This role will also provide technical guidance to relevant project staff and partners involved in nutrition activities in the regions and woredas. The Nutrition Advisor will work in close tandem with the MNCH Coordinator to ensure seamless and integrated Maternal, Newborn, Child Health, and Nutrition (MNCH-N) activity implementation.
The MNCH Coordinator will be responsible for the technical coordination and oversight of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health interventions across the RISE Ethiopia project, ensuring integrated and high-quality service delivery. This role will also be responsible for the technical guidance and supervision of Regional MNCH Advisors and MNCH Officers based in the various woredas where the project is implemented. The coordinator will work in close tandem with the Nutrition Advisor to ensure seamless and integrated MNCH-Nutrition activity implementation.
The Driver will provide logistical/transport/office support for the Jhpiego office. This includes maintaining office vehicle(s), ensuring that the vehicle policies are adhered to, driving and assisting with other office duties. The Driver will maintain vehicle mileage and related records as required by Jhpiego policies. The Driver is expected to be flexible and work longer than office hours when in the field and departing/arriving from the field. Also, when not in the field the Driver is expected to report to work early to assist with other office duties. This is a short term position that is required for a period of 3 months.
The Child Health and Immunization Advisor will be responsible for the implementation of life-saving Child health activities in the supported provinces. S/he will work in collaboration with the PHO/DHO and health facility teams and other stakeholders to implement quality Child health through technical capacity enhancement and quality improvement initiatives. S/he will work collaboratively with health care providers to enhance their skills through on-the-job coaching and delivery of evidence-based high-impact interventions to enhance child survival.
The Data assistant will perform tracking of all services delivery data and support data collection and or entry into the project and national DHIS2 system. The assistant shall undertake data verification on a routine basis to ensure accuracy and consistency of the data submitted. The Data Assistant will be responsible for collecting, managing, organizing, storage, analysis and dissemination of data while ensuring the accuracy of data across various platforms in alignment with the organization goals and standards. The role requires attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and the ability to work with large datasets.
