Sr. Program Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the Senior Program Officer, Finance Manager, and representatives from different Jhpiego departments (e.g., Contracts Management Compliance Division [CMCD], Travel, Procurement, Global External Communications Office [GECO]) to support country team to successfully implement projects.  This includes ensuring that administrative tasks are completed. The exact support needed will vary by project, but will likely include: US-based procurement, processing contracts, setting up payments from US, setting up meetings, taking notes, reviewing/editing reports, etc.

The Finance Director will oversee the financial planning, management and reporting aspects for the upcoming USAID MOMENTUM (Moving Integrated, Quality Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Services, Voluntary Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care to Scale) APS Round 3A “Expanding Access to Safe Surgery for Family Planning and the Reduction of Maternal and Neonatal Mortality and Morbidity”. MOMENTUM Round 3A seeks to improve access to and quality of voluntary, informed, consented and safe surgical care within maternal health and family planning programs. The project will operate over a five-year period.   The Finance Director will provide financial and administrative management, overseeing all financial, contractual, and procurement aspects for an upcoming $40 million global project with country buy-ins. S/he will work closely with the Project Director, senior management team, global program staff, and project country offices, to ensure timely and accurate financial, contractual and administrative management, representation, analyses and reporting to the project management team, partners and agencies external to Jhpiego.   The Finance Director is responsible for the oversight of budgeting, monitoring and performance of all funding streams for the project, including core and field programs, cost share and resource allocation to partners. The Finance Director will ensure financial systems and reports are compatible with standard accounting practices and follow Johns Hopkins University and Jhpiego policies, as well as USAID rules and regulations. S/he will provide capacity building, coaching and mentoring of finance staff worldwide, and local partners, by developing learning activities and materials to support capacity building. This position is directly accountable for the financial, contractual and administrative compliance of the global award.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID.

The $40 million project will operate over a five-year period.   A member of the project’s senior management team, the MERL Director will support the Project Director in ensuring that collaboration, learning, and adaption are used to advance global knowledge of what works, how, and why for improving safe surgical care. The MERL Director will provide technical leadership for systematic collection, analysis, synthesis, use and communication of data and learningto inform project and health sector stakeholder decision-making.  S/he will be responsible for development and execution of program-wide and country-specific MERL plans and data systems to ensure accurate, timely and efficient performance monitoring and reporting, and for documenting and disseminating project successes, challenges and lessons learned to USAID, in coordination with the MOMENTUM 2C Knowledge Accelerator award. The MERL Director will also be responsible for designing and conducting assessments, evaluations and implementation research to address project needs. The MERL Director will liaise with and support consortium partners and Ministries of Health to implement MERL activities.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID.

Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) Advisor needed to provide technical and programmatic oversight and direction in the areas of MNH-Quality improvement and act as an integral part of Jhpiego/Guatemala team.  The MNH Advisor responsibilities include providing leadership and technical guidance in the development, implementation and evaluation of MNH activities in a Quality Improvement Log frame.  Under the leadership of the Technical Director (TD), the MNH Advisor will work to ensure the technical and methodological soundness of activities and, in collaboration with the project team, the MOH and partners, support the design of service delivery strategies, based on sound, current scientific evidence, and emergent illness as COVID-19.   Guatemala’s USAID programs aims to reduce newborn, child and maternal mortality and chronic malnutrition among children under five, and strengthen the capacity of the Guatemalan Ministry of Health (known as the Ministerio de Salud Pública y Asistencia Social [MOH]).
