Jhpiego is seeking a Country Director to support Global Program Operatations in Pakistan. Jhpiego’s portfolio in Pakistan is diverse, ranging from family planning, maternal health, immunization, humanitarian relief, gender and global health security.    As the country representative, the Country Director needs to be a thought leader and visible player in the health space in Pakistan. The position will require the forging of strategic partnerships and growth in existing and new priority areas. Provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity of Jhpiego’s programs in Pakistan. This includes guiding the strategic planning, design and implementation for country programs and achieving the planned results.    The Country Director will work closely with the MoH to streamline efforts and ensure complementarities of projects, serves as the primary point of contact for donors including USAID, GAVI, BMGF, Foundations, MoH stakeholders and partners and is responsible for managing relationships and collaboration with international and local partners. The Country Director will also ensure timely and cost-effective project implementation, reporting of activities, and project deliverables.

USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a five-year USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance, and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning. MCGL seeks a Chief of Party (COP) to provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for an upcoming USAID family planning program in Jordan. The MCGL Jordan program will provide support to the USAID/Jordan bilateral Partnership for Health in Family Planning (PHFP) program to promotion and provision of quality family planning services to the population of Jordan.     The position will operate under the leadership of the Chief of Party and MCGL’s senior management team, and will oversee management of finance and administrative functions for the MCGL Joran Project. This includes implementing and maintaining financial, accounting, and administrative systems as required.  Ensuring the integrity and effective performance of office’s financial and administrative operations.  The F&A Manager works closely with Finance and Operations Director, Technical Director, programs teams, finance team, and others to ensure accurate operational, financial, contractual, and administrative reporting to the management team and to agencies external to the project.

They will be supported by the Senior Director, Programs and the leadership of MCGL’s Global Award to address issues requiring MCGL’s Agreement Officer’s Representative (AOR) core team involvement. They will serve as the project’s main point of contact with USAID and the Government on routine and strategic matters. The COP will ensure effective organizational management and communication with the Jordan country government and key stakeholders at all levels, including international entities.

This endeavor contributes to the WHO Global Strategy for the Acceleration of Elimination of Cervical Cancer as Public Health Problem through primary prevention.      In the Philippines, Jhpiego works with the Department of Health (DOH) to advance country commitments to the global elimination strategy through: (1) building evidence to support strengthened implementation of HPV vaccination, improved vaccine service delivery and coverage; and, (2) targeted operational support to the DOH’s National Immunization Program.     Jhpiego seeks qualified individual to provide services in the documentation of proceedings of the Cervical Cancer Elimination Social Behavior Change Communication Strategy Workshop on 10-11 January 2024.

Jhpiego seeks a Country Director/Project Director (CD/PD) in Lesotho. The CD/PD provides vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity of Jhpiego’s programs in Lesotho. This includes guiding the strategic planning, design and implementation for country programs and achieving the planned results.   The Country Director will likely also serve as the Project Director for one of Jhpiego’s ongoing projects and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, will ensure the project is progressing appropriately, and will serve as the principal liaison to USG and other donors. S/he will play a key role in ensuring the award meets its objectives on time and on budget. This will be accomplished using adaptive management across the organization, at all levels. The Country Director will be an effective manager and will lead his/her team through changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. A high degree of demonstrated technical expertise combined with excellent communication and management skills are essential for this position.   The CD works closely with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to streamline efforts and ensure complementarities of projects, serves as the primary point of contact for donors, stakeholders, and partners, and is responsible for managing relationships and collaboration with international and local partners.
