Jhpiego seeks a Chief of Party (COP) to provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for an upcoming $25-50 million USAID Global Health Security (GHS) activity in Pakistan. The goal of the Activity is to build Pakistan’s capacities to prevent, detect and rapidly respond to new and emerging infectious diseases. The GHS activity will strengthen existing Pakistan’s One Health systems, entities, structures, all towards building a resilient, sustainable response to emerging infectious disease threats. In line with USAID’s vision for Health System Strengthening 2030, the activity will work on strengthening existing health systems that uphold equity, optimize resources and efficiency and ensure quality.   The COP will have the overall responsibility for leadership and management and reporting of all project activities. The COP will be responsible for making key decisions and solving problems in short timeframes while ensuring operational and project quality and integrity. They will serve as the project’s main point of contact with USAID and the Government on routine and strategic matters. The COP will ensure effective organizational management and communication with host country governments and key stakeholders at all levels, including international entities.  The project is expected to operate over a five-year period.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Jhpiego is implementing the project,  ‘Enhancing Global Health Security: Expanding Efforts and Strategies to Protect and Improve Public Health Globally’. Jhpiego seeks a Technical Director to provide technical leadership and project oversight in the area of Urban Health for an upcoming USAID-funded Urban Health Activity in Uganda. The Technical Director will provide technical assistance at the national, district and community level. The project aims to strengthen urban health systems, to improve equitable health outcomes among all urbanites by working with municipalities and city corporations on strengthening urban health systems to provide quality, equitable public health, optimize available resources and strengthen private sector capacity as part of sustainability efforts.  The Uganda Urban Health Activity will address poor quality of care, congested public health facilities, uncoordinated referral system, weak community structures, limited private sector capacity, and gaps in enabling environment results in poor health outcomes in Kampala, Mukono and Wakiso. The project will have a geographical scope covering the Kampala metropolitan area comprising of Kampala city, Mukono, and Wakiso districts. The project is expected to operate over a five-year period.     The position will operate under the leadership of the Chief of Party and Jhpiego’s senior management team and will oversee and ensure the technical and methodological soundness of all project activities. In collaboration with project team and partners, the position will support the design and implementation of service delivery strategies based on scientific evidence.   This position is contingent upon award of the project by the donor. Jhpiego seeks a Project Finance and Administration Director to oversee the financial planning, management and reporting activities for an upcoming USAID health systems strengthening project in Burkina Faso. The project will operate over an anticipated five-year period.   The Project Finance and Administration (F&A) Director will work closely with the Project Director, Senior Management Team, Global Program Staff, and project country office to ensure timely and accurate financial, contractual and administrative management, representation, analyses and reporting to the project management team, partners and agencies external to Jhpiego. S/he will be responsible for the oversight of budgeting, monitoring and performance of all funding streams for the project.
