The Project Director will provide overall vision, leadership and programmatic and managerial oversight for a CDC-funded DREAMS Project in Malawi. The Project Director will guide the strategic planning, design and implementation of the project and be responsible for reporting of activities and for all project deliverables. The Project Director will be the primary point of contact and manage all relationships with CDC/Malawi, Government counterparts, PEPFAR implementing partners and other stakeholders. The Project Director will work closely with the MOH/HIV & AIDS Department and other relevant ministries to streamline efforts and ensure a coordinated effort in provision of quality services for AGYW. The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor provides technical leadership and strategic vision for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities for the anticipated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) project focusing on HIV testing services (HTS) for men and key populations. Working closely with the project’s management and technical staff, the Senior M&E Advisor will lead development of an M&E system that will capture high-quality, relevant and timely data that is used for programmatic decision-making. Specifically, the Senior M&E Advisor will develop project framework, plans and indicators to capture project performance results. The Senior M&E Advisor will work closely with the M&E, program and technical teams to design, implement and supervise district M&E activities, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into project implementation to continuously improve the quality of interventions and outcomes. The Senior M&E Advisor is also responsible for documenting and disseminating project successes and challenges to CDC. This position is contingent award by the donor. Jhpiego seeks a Principal Investigator/Project Director (PI/PD) to provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for an upcoming Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) project funded through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The five-year project aims to ensure continuity of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services to an existing pool of clients receiving HIV/AIDS care, support, and/or treatment. The program will also continue expanding access to HIV/AIDS services while building the capacity of national structures and contributing to sustainable service delivery within the health sector in Côte d’Ivoire. Specifically, it serves to increase capacity and sustainability of the response toward controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Côte d’Ivoire by initially providing support for HIV service delivery aligning with PEPFAR geographic and programmatic pivots and ultimately providing technical assistance to indigenous Ivorian organizations and the national Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) to sustain and expand comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and antiretroviral therapy (ART) programs.     The PI/PD will have overall responsibility for leadership and management of the project and reporting of project activities. S/he will be responsible for making key decisions and solving problems in short timeframes while ensuring operational and project technical quality and integrity. S/he will serve as the project’s main point of contact with the donor, government of Cote d’Ivoire, and relevant stakeholders on routine and strategic matters. S/he will also ensure effective organizational management, collaboration and communication with the government at all levels, international partners, and agencies.      This position is contingent upon award from PEPFAR. Ivorian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Jhpiego is hiring for the position of an International Midwifery Educator in India for a BMGF funded project. The position will work closely with Colleges of Nursing, their attached clinical sites and other health care providers as part of an inter-professional collaborative team. The overall aim is to prepare midwifery educators and midwives (Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery, NPM) at par with ICM standards that will support the implementation of the government-led program to establish midwifery services to global standards across the country.   In 2018, Government of India (GoI) took a landmark policy decision to support the introduction of a new cadre of midwives, the NPM, into the existing health system. These midwives would be trained to global standards through a cascade approach, first developing midwife educators at National level institutes, who would then train graduate nurses at State level institutes to become midwives and provide midwifery-led care at various levels of the health system.
