Jhpiego seeks a Chief of Party (COP) to provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for an upcoming USAID-funded malaria project in Cameroon. This project will support the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) to implement activities to reduce malaria morbidity and maternal and child mortality. The project will operate over a 5-year period.   The Chief of Party will have the overall responsibility for leadership and management and reporting of project activities. S/he will be responsible for making key decisions and solving problems in short timeframes while ensuring operational and project quality and integrity. S/he will serve as the project’s main point of contact with USAID on routine and strategic matters. S/he will also ensure effective organizational management and communication with host country governments and key stakeholders at all levels, including international entities.    This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Cameroon nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Finance Administrator – Treasury manages Jhpiego’s international banking products and processes for Jhpiego field offices, and is the primary relationship manager between Jhpiego and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) treasury. This position works closely with the staff of JHU Treasury, with Jhpiego Global Program Operations field office staff (incountry,) and Global Program Finance headquarters staff.   Additionally, the Finance Administrator manages and processes financial transactions involving service center, general funds, and gift and discretionary accounts for the Jhpiego.   Jhpiego is currently working on a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week.

Jhpiego is looking for a creative and dynamic Sr Advisor, MNH Knowledge Solutions eager to lead AlignMNH’s efforts to collect, curate and connect MNH stakeholders to knowledge in meaningful ways to catalyze action.  AlignMNH is a five-year initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) with the United States Department for International Development (USAID), and is guided by an International Steering Committee of 20 global thought leaders working in collaboration with a Secretariat led by Jhpiego.  The initiative seeks to align global maternal and newborn health (MNH) priorities, metrics, financing and action in support of accelerated improvements in MNH and well-being in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). Inclusive of a bi-annual conference series and an online Knowledge Hub, AlignMNH seeks to increase opportunities for sharing of technical evidence and program experiences, nurture opportunities for cross-country engagement, dialogue and learning and encourage use of metrics and application of evidence-based practices.      About this role: Drawing on principles of knowledge management and behavioral science, this position will lead in the design and implementation of strategies and knowledge products that reach audiences where they are, with the evidence, resources and tools they need and in formats that encourage learning and action to improve uptake of best practices in MNH. The Sr Advisor will drive the development of and oversee AlignMNH’s Knowledge Hub and dissemination activities using targeted and innovative knowledge management, communications, advocacy and dissemination strategies that address different learning styles and maximize interaction and collaboration to inspire action.   This position will also contribute to the development of communications for virtual convenings and the bi-annual international conference series.

Jhpiego seeks a Senior Program Officer to provide coordinated and comprehensive program management support across global HIV and COVID-19 response efforts, under a global USAID-funded project. The Senior Program Officer (SPO) will support planning, implementing and reporting for expanding global HIV and COVID-19 emergency response efforts, including work planning; technical and program support to teams and working groups; report writing; financial oversight and sub-award management; operations and administration.   Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control (RISE) is a $216 million, 5-year global project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Through RISE, Jhpiego implements HIV prevention research and programmatic efforts; and over the past year, RISE has leveraged these HIV platforms to respond to the COVID-19 crisis in priority countries. Programming continues to expand and currently includes comprehensive core-funded activities as well as country-specific efforts in: Afghanistan, Burundi, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire , Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Tanzania.   The SPO will join a core team of collaborative program, financial and technical staff, to support development, implementation and monitoring of a specified portfolio of project activities at the central and country levels for RISE HIV and COVID-19 response activities, including HIV prevention and treatment, as well as COVID-19 critical care case management, vaccination, O2 infrastructure, field support and related activities. The SPO  will liaise with technical, country backstop, finance, operations, communications, and other units within Jhpiego to ensure coordination and integration of project activities. Jhpiego seeks a Finance Manager to provide leadership in overseeing the financial and administrative management and contractual aspects for the Advancing Progress in Malaria Service Delivery subcontract awarded by PSI.   The Finance Manager will provide financial and administrative management, overseeing all financial, contractual, and procurement aspects, including start-up, implementation and close-out functions for the subcontract core task order and country level task orders.  The position will work closely with other GPO program finance managers supporting country programs to ensure adequate and timely budget submissions, financial management and monitoring and invoice generation as required by the subcontract.  The Finance Manager will ensure accurate financial, contractual, and administrative reporting to the prime contractor, management team and to agencies external to Jhpiego.  The Finance Manager will also ensure that the invoices are compatible with standard Jhpiego accounting practices and follow Jhpiego and USAID rules and regulations.   The Finance Manager will work closely with Jhpiego departments to ensure streamlined financial operations and performance of the project, including: - Senior Finance Manager to ensure execution of al invoices and back-up documentation as required by the contract - Director, Program Finance and a team of Finance Managers assigned to each country to ensure the project has complete, accurate and timely financial data for decision-making. - Contractual and Jhpiego management teams to ensure that all funding allocations are accurate, optimized and effectively deployed; - Jhpiego contracts and grants management team to manage and monitor partner performance, compliance and contractual position. - Jhpiego country leadership and technical teams to respond to country-level task order requirements and request. The Finance Manager will ensure financial systems and reports are compatible with standard accounting practices and follow Johns Hopkins University and Jhpiego policies, as well as USAID rules and regulations. S/he will provide capacity building, coaching and mentoring of finance staff worldwide, and local partners, by developing learning activities and materials to support capacity building. The Digital Communications Specialist will be a key position on the staff of Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate, which serves as the Secretariat for AlignMNH, a five-year project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The main purpose of AlignMNH is to align global maternal and newborn health (MNH) advocacy, metrics, financing and action in support of accelerated improvements in MNH and well-being in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).     The Digital Communications Specialist will promote and enhance the exchange of maternal and newborn health technical knowledge through engagement across multiple AlignMNH channels, including an online knowledge hub, a series of global conferences and virtual engagement convenings, and digital communications efforts. The position is responsible for supporting the development of digital communications across the AlignMNH initiative, with the design and implementation of strategies and digital knowledge products that reach audiences where they are, with the evidence, resources and tools they need and in formats that encouraging learning and action to improve uptake of best practices in MNH.  This position will drive the creation and development of digital assests for use on all AlignMNH platforms, including social media and the website; assist in the upload and maitenence of digital collateral; and support overall messaging and brand identity, including the execution of a digital communications strategy and supporting the bi-annual international conference series (International Maternal Newborn Health Conference) taking place in May 2023.   Jhpiego is currently working on a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week.

MOMENTUM Zambia Field Support (MCGL) is a three-year, USAID-funded project that will contribute to improving the health status of Women and Children. This will be achieved through collaboration with Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ), Ministry of Health (MOH), communities and other local partners to improve health system performance and to deliver high quality, accessible reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) care.  Working in two provinces, Northern and Central, MCGL will work with MOH provincial and district counterparts to deliver high quality services, strengthen health systems, and increase community engagement.   MCGL’s Health Informatics and Database (HID) is accountable for MCGL’s data management and health informatics needs.  Led by the MEL Director and working closely with the Knowledge Management (KM) and Learning Advisor, the HID will establish virtual systems for collecting, aggregating and presenting data to support FHN’s MEL and KM requirements needed to manage and control the project.  The HID Advisor will also collaborate with MCGL’s Objective 3/Health Systems Lead to provide TA to MOH’s strategic information team to institutionalize a digital and mobile data collection system that can create real-time dashboards used by MOH, RMNCAH Program team, and MCGL.
