Antenatal/Postnatal Care Research Collective (ARC) project is conducting a study to explore the effect of Group Antenatal Care on Women’s Place of Childbirth in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The study is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The primary objective of the study is to determine where G-ANC participants (i.e., women who attended at least one meeting) gave birth, disaggregated by place of childbirth (e.g.,the same health facility where they attended G-ANC, another facility, home) and survey method (e.g., phone, in-person). Explorative objectives include;
- To identify factors associated with each place of childbirth (e.g., the same health facility where they attended G-ANC, another facility, home), stratified by survey method (e.g., phone, in-person)
- To explore potential associations between greater intervention exposure (i.e., number of attended sessions) and childbirth in the same G-ANC facility, stratified by survey method (e.g., phone, in-person)
ARC009 study will engage 3 research coordinators to supervise 28 research assistants conducting phone and in person surveys among G-ANC participants who can be reached by phone to find out where they gave birth and the reasons they chose that place. In addition, in-person surveys will be conducted among eligible G-ANC participants who were not reached by phone and who can be traced at home.
Based on the scope of the task, the research coordinators will be assigned to supervise research assistants in the three senatorial zones.
The overall purpose of this activity is to conduct phone survey, in-person surveys and indepth interview to eligible G-ANC clients as needed for the ARC 009 study.
The research coordinator will oversee a team of research assistants conducting surveys with respondents in person. The Research Coordinators will ensure that the Research Assistants adhere to the study protocol, and SOPs, conduct interviews in a professional and ethical manner, and meet project deadlines. The Research Coordinators will also be responsible for monitoring data quality, resolving issues that arise during data collection, and maintaining accurate records.
Duty Location:
Each research coordinator will be assigned one of the three senatorial zones in Nasarawa state

MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) Gender Project is a four-year U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project, led by Jhpiego in consortium partnership with Save the Children, PACT and The Manhoff Group (TMG). The project focuses on Prevention and Mitigation of the consequences of Violence Against Women and Girls and, addressing possible drivers of Forced Early and Child Marriage (CEFM) in Sokoto and Ebonyi States.
This is being achieved through strategies that addresses four key technical priority areas: intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual violence (SV), child early and forced marriage (CEFM) and early adoption of family planning (FP) as well as stimulating communities with appropriate information and necessary knowledge to act in transforming discriminatory gender and social norms that continue to subordinate women
The MCGL-Gender project is currently on her penultimate year of implementation hence, need to step back, reassess project implementation, re-strategize for optimal accomplishment of project objectives and re-invigorate the team for action in the final stretch. To achieve this goal, the team proposes a 3-day retreat to strengthen and reinvigorate the team for cohesiveness, collaboration, energy, trust and communication and generally improve the team's morale to perform optimally. This meeting will bring together MCGL-Gender staff in Abuja, Sokoto, Ebonyi and representatives of MCGL implementing indigenous Partners
The overall purpose of this assignment/consultancy is to laed the MCGL team through a mix of team building activities aimed at improving staff productivity and performance at the work place and strengthening team spirit, trust and collaboration among staff members. The team building activities should focus on effective communication, conflict resolution, team morale raising and fun and challenging activities
Duration of the Consultancy and Renumeration
Number of Work Days: Four (4) Days – this consists of:
- 1 day (8-hours) for planning meeting
- 2 days for facilitation team building retreat
- 1 day for report writing

The Project Officer shall provide high-quality administrative project management to ensure that project targets and objectives are met in relation to the activities. Responsible for tracking progress and activity budgets based on the project work and financial plans. Responsible for reviewing activity and quarterly reports and writing semi-annual, annual, and project reports as required by the donor and prime partner. Manage the project’s payments, contracts, procurement, travel requests in coordination with the Finance, HR and KM and externally with the local counterparts. Work closely with the Country Program Manager to analyze risks and manage issues as/if they arise.

Through this grant, Jhpiego will support Uganda to strengthen surveillance data managing creating a centralized data warehousing, analysis, and visualization at designate national and sub-national levels, develop policies, procedures and relevant MoUs for surveillance systems integration, and implement targeted capacity building to data end-users on how to think about data.
At the end of the project life, CDC and MOH expect centrally available timely data for public health action, improved data access and exchange between systems across the country and a resilient data-intelligent workforce.
Position Purpose:
The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the databases developed by the project in compliance with local law and global best practice. He/she will ensure the security, availability, and performance of the database to facilitate the smooth operation of data systems developed and managed by the project.

The Data Warehouse Developers will lead the development of data pipelines and scripts to feed into the Data Warehouse. The data sources will include data from surveillance teams, regional referrals and other health information systems.

Position Purpose:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders. The Data Analyst will conduct routine Explanatory Data Analysis with descriptive statistics of underlying datasets to highlight key trends in applicable data. He/she will be responsible for routinely examining data to identify outliers and use statical methods to provide potential explanations. He/she will explore potential applications of advanced analytics including forecasting, predictive analytics, and AI/ML approaches.

The New Program Development Specialist – Knowledge Management (KM) Emphasis will apply understanding and knowledge of grant writing and project funding to advance proposal development in Jhpiego’s New Program Development (NPD) Department by providing overall coordination through the lifecycle of lower complexity proposals. This position may occasionally assist and support, moderate complexity proposals with guidance from higher levels.
The NPD Specialist – KM Emphasis will help to identify and assess requirements of select proposals and coordinate meetings, deliverables, review sessions, and inputs for submission. Additionally, they will foster strong relationships and provide strong customer service to identify and support the needs of proposal teams. The individual in this role will provide meaningful insights and recommendations to support successful execution of NPD initiatives, frameworks and approaches.
To advance knowledge management for proposal teams, the NPD Specialist – KM Emphasis will help to develop and follow standard processes to maintain, organize, revise, update and disseminate relevant materials, information and data relevant for proposals and to create materials to attract potential donors (e.g. pitch decks). The individual in this position will help to draft compelling and creative write-ups of Jhpiego’s achievements across countries and technical areas to include in positioning, proposal, and reference documents, with guidance and supervision from the KM Advisor. To ensure that this up-to-date information and language is available on short notice, the Specialist will be responsible for actively maintaining the knowledge management systems that NPD uses to store project information, namely technical capacity statements and past performance references. The Officer will conduct donor prospect research and support other efforts to pursue new business for Jhpiego, including participating in leads development, identification and dissemination of opportunities, scanning for potential new business opportunities, conducting opportunity analysis, having regular communications with field staff, tracking the status of results of ongoing projects and monitoring activities of competitors, partners and donors.
To advance knowledge sharing in NPD and with proposal teams, the Specialist – KM Emphasis will provide recommendations and support to departmental Knowledge Exchange Meetings. The Specialist may also contribute to maintaining, managing and running reports on NPD’s proposal library, NPD-related content in Jhpiego’s customer relationship management system (CRM), and other NPD tools and resources as needed.

The Network Analyst is responsible for the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the network infrastructure at Jhpiego offices; working with network teams to deploy system updates; and making recommendations for improvement of IT services, as required.
The Network Analyst is responsible for monitoring of Jhpiego’s enterprise network systems, ensuring service availability. The Network Analyst monitors all aspects of the network infrastructure, responds to issues and escalates to Sr. Engineers, and works with the Global IT team on infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and implementations across Jhpiego offices. The Network Analyst is a member of Jhpiego’s Global IT team, and follows direction from the Sr. Director of IT.
The nature of this work requires an individual who is service-oriented, organized, collaborative, and who can interact with diverse end-users and technical staff, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues.
Reporting to the EGHS Project Director, the Principal Technical Advisor will oversee all monitoring, evaluation and research (MER) activities for the Enhancing Global Health Security project.
The Principal Technical Advisor is accountable for building and leading new, innovative solutions, as well as operating context for the delivery and execution of high-quality technical approaches that reflect best practices in global health security. They work with the goal of meeting emerging priorities and needs, both internally and externally, further solidifying the technical area as a center of expertise and industry leader. They will ensure quality across multiple initiatives, projects, and programs and by leading the development of new solutions to extend program reach and achieve program objectives.
As a representative of Jhpiego, the Principal Technical Advisor will work across EGHS global and country project teams to institutionalize best practices and innovations across the portfolio, acting as an advocate for the adoption of new, innovative solutions as regular practice. They will support Jhpiego’s global positioning and reputation in global health securities by representing the organization externally and will support the development of new strategic partnerships. The Principal Technical Advisor will mentor, build capacity, identify learning, design MER approaches for new business opportunities by leading the development and implementation of workplan priorities.
