USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a five-year USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning. MCGL seeks a Health Workforce Development Specialist to provide technical depth, vision, guidance and expertise in human resources for health management and leadership, management, for an upcoming USAID-funded project in the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN). The project will be focused on building the capacity of EJHN hospitals through the provision of technical, financial, and management strengthening support. This support will enable hospitals within the network to diversify income streams and improve the service provision for patients from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. This position reports to the Project Director.

Jhpiego seeks a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) to provide project and technical guidance for an upcoming USAID-funded maternal, neonatal, and child health (MNCH), immunization and nutrition project in Mozambique.  The $50+ million project aims to strengthen the efficient and sustainable provision of evidence-based maternal, neonatal, and child health (MNCH) care through the delivery of technical support that increases the capacity of the health management system.  The project will operate over a 5 year-period.   The DCOP will work closely with technical and programmatic implementation teams to ensure the project is progressing towards expected results. The DCOP will also work with M&E staff to ensure project deliverables are monitored and course corrections are identified and implemented as appropriate. Other responsibilities will include supervising project management or operational staff, overseeing annual work planning, leading the design, implementation and reporting of project activities, and the management of specific components as required.  The DCOP will hold the primary management and programmatic responsibility for the project.  In the absence of the Chief of Party, the DCOP may be required to undertake the responsibilities of that position on a temporary basis.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID. The project will operate over a 5 year period.   The Director will provide technical leadership to develop project framework, M&E systems and indicators to capture performance results and provide effective, accurate and timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all project activities. The M&E Director will supervise and manage the M&E team and oversee the collection, management, analysis and use of project data, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into project implementation to continuously improve quality of interventions and outcomes. The M&E Director is responsible for documenting and disseminating project successes, challenges and lessons learned to USAID. The Director will also be responsible for designing and conducting assessments, operations research and evaluations to address project needs. The Director will liaise with and support consortium partners and the Ministry of Health to implement monitoring and evaluation (and learning) activities.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID.
