The “MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership” (MCGL), is a four-year USAID funded project led by Jhpiego in consortium partnership with Save the Children, PACT and The Manhoff Group (TMG). The project focuses on prevention and mitigation of the consequences of violence against women and girls and addressing possible drivers of Child Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM) and is being implemented in Sokoto and Ebonyi States, to address four technical areas viz: Sexual violence (SV), Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), CEFM and early adoption of family planning. As part of its learning agenda, the project will be conducting a mixed methods study to determine the feasibility and acceptability of the survivor advocacy intervention, as well as its contributions to increased support, safety, self-efficacy and well-being of GBV survivors. The study will cover be implemented in a total of four LGAs (4 communities) in Sokoto and Ebonyi State.
With the leadership and supervision of the State team lead, the Sustainability and Systems Advisor, will lead effort to increase capacity of State and local government authorities and relevant Stakeholders to sustain program efforts beyond project duration. He/She will provide technical assistance to government and private sector to effectively engage in domestic resource mobilization, put in place sustainable financing and accountability mechanisms, and make progress towards subnational health goals.
The Sustainability and Systems Director, is to collaborate with the federal and state level government and partners and provide overall technical direction of health systems strengthening and sustainability strategies as well as interventions at the State, LGA, and community levels to result in sustainable government-led greater access, quality and use of priority HIV/AIDS and TB services and lead to improved health outcomes.
Jhpiego’s Technical Learship and Innovation (TLI) Office drives impact across Jhpiego's core areas of work in women's health (maternal and newborn health, reproductive health and family planning and women's cancers) infectious disease (HIV/AIDS, Malaria, COVID response/global health security) and health systems strengthening, primary health care, immunization and safe surgery. This dynami team of leaders provide "best in class" technical leadership and support responsive to country needs and in pursuit of accelerated impact.
Jhpiego's Maternal and Newborn Health team sits within the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent (RMNCAH) division within TLI. The MNH team is a diverse group of clinical and program experts with deep experience in technical leadership and collaborative health system support in low-, middle-, and high-income countries across five continents, including fragile and conflict areas. Our team valuesand prioritizes collaboration with our field-based colleagues and local stakeholders, recognizing the critical importance of health system factors and quality of care in the success of interventions and sustained improvements. We are actively engaged in a wide range of global technical leadership and implementation research activities across the continuum of care.
The Maternal Newborn Health (MNH) Advisor will provide support to the MNH team, particularly in the areas of translating global guidance into recommended health system actions, performing critical reviews of current evidence, compiling and/or developing written guidance and materials, developing research protocols, and contributing to manuscript development. The position will engage with cross cutting teams including family planning, quality improvement, innovations, health systems strengthening, community, and gender, and adolescent and youth health. Responsibilities include providing leadership and technical guidance in the development and implementation of global and country programs; utilizing cross-cutting approaches such as health system strengthening, performance and quality improvement, community development and in-service training/pre-service education; ensuring the technical and methodological soundness of Jhpiego’s MNH programs at the country level and; in collaboration with partners, supporting the design of clinical service delivery strategies, based on sound and current scientific evidence.
The Knowledge Management, Communications and Program Manager will provide leadership to improve the knowledge management systems for RISE and Jhpiego program and technical resources; enhance communication and visibility of project learnings and support effective implementation of program implementation, reporting and documentation. The Manager will bridge the relevant work done by RISE and Jhpiego as well as harness and package this knowledge for dissemination through different means to Jhpiego staff, client, and partner organization through sound program knowledge and experience. Manager will lead and advance the adoption of good and promising practices in HIV/AIDS.
Supply Chain and Pharmacy Advisor needed to supportand lead the overall planning, implementation and delivery of high-quality supply chain and pharmaceutical care, pharmacovigilance and DMOC services as well as the implementation of an efficient health commodity logistics system for the organization in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Jhpiego is hiring for the position of International Midwifery Educators in India for a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded project. The position will work closely with Colleges of Nursing, their attached clinical sites and other health care providers as part of an inter-professional collaborative team. The overall aim is to prepare midwifery educators and midwives at par with ICM standards that will support the implementation of the government-led program to establish midwifery services to global standards across the country.
In 2018, the Government of India (GoI) took a landmark policy decision to support the introduction of a new cadre of midwives, The Nurse Practitioner Midwife (NPM), into the existing health system by training nurses to be midwives. These midwives would be trained to global standards through a cascade approach, first developing midwife educators at national level institutions, who would then train graduate nurses at State level institutes to become midwives and provide midwifery-led care at various levels of the health system. Jhpiego is supporting the Government of India (GoI) along with other international agencies in the roll-out and implementation of this national initiative.

In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of health workforce development, family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.
The New Program Development (NPD) Manager works together with technical and program staff in Baltimore and in overseas field offices to develop and pursue funding to support Jhpiego’s mission. The NPD Manager serves primarily in a planning and proposal/pitch production capacity: contributing to prospect research, analyzing opportunities, managing proposals, assuring responsiveness and successful submission across all donors, whether prime or sub. Applying critical thinking skills, the NPD Manager will be involved in supporting donor relations and stewardship, including: proactive pursuit of new opportunities, qualification of opportunities; proposal development and management; writing; and ensuring successful transition of new programs to program colleagues.
The NPD Manager analyzes opportunities, develops and continually focuses teams on win themes, ensures regular engagement and communication with country offices to strategically inform leads and proposal development. The NPD Manager monitors activities of competitors, partners and donors, and actively applies related knowledge, thereby improving responsiveness of persuasive, winning proposals.

The New Program Development (NPD) Officer works with technical and program staff to ensure successful completion and responsiveness of Jhpiego’s proposals across all donors, including US Government, Foundation, Corporate, U.N. bilateral and other funding sources. The NPD Officer will primarily support NPD Managers who are leading on complex prime proposals and will also directly manage sub or less complex prime opportunities to pursue Jhpiego’s strategic interests.
The NPD Officer will conduct donor prospect research and support other efforts to pursue new business for Jhpiego, including participating in leads development, identification and dissemination of opportunities, scanning for potential new business opportunities, conducting opportunity analysis, having regular communications with field staff, tracking the status of results of ongoing projects and monitoring activities of competitors, partners and donors.

The Receptionist/Data Clerk will support a district-based voluntary medical male circumcision program and will perform a variety of administrative tasks at the VMMC site and head office to ensure proper documentation.
A Receptionist / Data Clerk may be appointed to serve one or two districts, as such applicants must be prepared to be based at or travel to any of the stipulated district areas.
