The Project Management and Finance Director (MFD) will oversee the financial planning, management and reporting activities in support of an upcoming global health project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The project, valued at $90 million, will support in-country counterparts in 24 focus countries and 32 technical assistance countries to scale up and improve management of drug-resistant TB (DR TB) by expanding access to high quality treatment services.  This project will provide specialized technical assistance to enhance the quality of country-level DR-TB projects.     The MFD will work closely with the Project Director, Senior Management Team, Global Program Staff, and project country offices to ensure timely and accurate financial, award and administrative management, representation, analyses and reporting to the project management team, partners and agencies external to Jhpiego. This position is directly accountable for the financial, award and administrative compliance of the award. The MFD will be based in Jhpiego’s Baltimore office and international travel will be required.   This position is contingent upon award and annual funding from USAID.

Jhpiego seeks a Project Director (PD) to provide vision, leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for an upcoming global health project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The PD will be responsible for making key decisions and solving problems in short timeframes while ensuring operational and project quality and integrity. The PD will serve as the project’s main point of contact with USAID on routine and strategic matters. The PD will also ensure effective organizational management and communication with host country governments and key stakeholders at all levels, including international entities.    This position is contingent upon award and annual funding from USAID.

The Driver/Expeditor operates assigned vehicle for the purpose of transporting Jhpiego employees conducting project business to various locations within and outside Addis Ababa, and performs expediting duties. 

The Compliance Manager in collaboration with the Finance & Admin Director and Country Director/Chief of Party will ensure that Jhpiego projects in the Cameroon are compliant. He will contribute to build capacity of the programs and the staff on compliance; act as the custodian for the Internal Control Reviews; and ensure that the sub grantees are compliant.

The IT Officer will provide network and desktop administrative support to all the programs and staff located at each location in IT Officer for Jhpiego in accordance to Jhpiego global policies. He/She will be responsible for upkeep of the equipment including computers, printers, photocopy machine, camera, LCD projector, data cards, landline phones etc. As the IT Officer will also establish relationships with local vendors for procurement of equipment and assume responsibility for assuring quality service from selected vendors

Working with all stakeholders, the Compliance Manager will identify risks that hinder the achievement of Jhpiego’s objectives and assess the adequacy and recommends appropriate internal control systems to reduce associated risks.   With the support and oversight of the Country Director and the Sr. Director of Compliance, the Compliance Manager will provide guidance, training, and compliance oversight in the areas of procurement, inventory management, subrecipient monitoring, and financial management.  He/She will work closely with senior management, finance and administrative and human resources staff to ensure compliance with Jhpiego, the Johns Hopkins University, and donor regulations. 

Jhpiego seeks a Technical Director to provide technical leadership and project oversight to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity for an upcoming USAID Health System Strengthening (HSS) Flagship Activity in Indonesia. Indonesia faces significant health challenges due to high rates of Tuberculosis (TB), maternal and neonatal mortality, and increasing number of people living with HIV. The goal of the Activity is to transform the Indonesian health system by focusing on health financing, information systems, and healthcare workforce improvement. The HHS activity will collaborate with the Government of Indonesia (GOI) to build a responsive health system that utilizes resources and strengthens population health outcomes.   The position will operate under the leadership of the Chief of Party and with Jhpiego’s senior management team and will oversee and ensure the technical and methodological soundness of all project activities. In collaboration with project team and partners, the position will support the design and implementation of service delivery strategies based on scientific evidence and best practices.   This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Jhpiego seeks the services of a Project Director, to provide leadership for the Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Adolescents and Young People’s technical areas in South Africa. The role will involve leading a team of staff, working closely with the ministry, donors, partners, civil society and other key stakeholders to support the strengthening of SRHR and AYP programmes in the country. The Project Director will provide overall strategic and technical leadership and vision for the project and will ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective implementation and reporting, as well as the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity of the project.

Jhpiego is seeking a Global Help Desk Assistant to support its enterprise management systems.   Jhpiego is developing an enterprise program management system which will be integrated with the Jhpiego Enterprise Management System (JEMS). The systems will be used throughout the organization and developed and managed by the Information Services and Technology Support department. The core team is comprised of members from Kenya, US, and Mozambique Jhpiego offices. The team works with Jhpiego’s business units to incorporate enterprise processes in an effective and efficient software solution.   The Help Desk Assistant is responsible for support and training of the Jhpiego enterprise management system with a focus on supporting English and French speaking countries.   The nature of this work requires an individual who is service-oriented, an excellent communicator (oral and written), organized, and who can interact with diverse staff at all levels of the organization.   This position is part of the Information Services and Technology Support (ISTS) department supporting Jhpiego’s offices across Africa, Asia, and the Americas.   This position is remote, and requires up to 25% international travel.   Position reports to:  Senior Software Engineer Positions Supervised: None   Basic Salary (subject to statutory deductions): Kshs 122, 100 to 193,600 per month.
