Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Viral Hepatitis

The M&E Officer for the Viral Hepatitis Program shall report and support the Program Manager, Viral Hepatitis, to come up with data and evidence based informed programmatic decisions through thorough data analysis and interpretation of data.

Moreover, the M&E Officer shall also provide support in the implementation of the Rollout of Viral Hepatitis Recording and Reporting Module in the One HIV, AIDS, and STI Information System (OHASIS). The M&E officer will be involved in the roll-out workshops, site monitoring and mentoring visits with data encoding and cleaning of quarterly/monthly inventory reports.

The M&E Officer shall also be seconded to the DOH Epidemiology Bureau – National HIV-AIDS, STI and Viral Hepatitis Surveillance System (NHSSS) Unit to support and ensure robust VH data collection and VH data analysis based on data encoding in OHASIS 2.0.

Job Description

• Ensure Viral Hepatitis data collection across facilities in OHASIS 2.0
• Setup of dedicated database in STEP and StITCH project.
• Conduct the consolidation of data and implementation reports from VH facilities associated with the STEP and StITCH project.
• Ensure generated reports to inform decision-making by stakeholder.
• Organize and conduct monitoring meetings to validate data and discuss project progress.
• Provide regular feedback reports to the Program Manager, for collaboration, stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations to aid decision-making.
• Prepare consolidated reports on project achievements (physical and financial) for submission to relevant authorities
• Other tasks, as assigned by the Program Manager

Education and Professional Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree holder in Health Sciences, Physical Sciences, Biostatistics
• At least five (3) years relevant experience in infectious diseases programs, public health, particularly on Viral Hepatitis, HIV/STI
• Demonstrated experience working on viral hepatitis, HIV, or other communicable disease programs is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of OHASIS 2.0 Information System is an advantage
• Demonstrated experience working with the Department of Health and local government units is required.
• Experience in training development, mentorship, or health systems strengthening is an advantage.
