Overview

The Program Officer will work closely with Program, M&E, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to support the effective implementation of the TB Care and Prevention Project. The role will coordinate day-to-day project activities, ensure work plans are aligned with approved budgets, and track progress against planned activities and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of annual work plans, activity plans, and reports, and ensure approved activities are tracked and implemented according to agreed timelines.
  • Ensure timely processing of monthly fund requests and receipt of advances, while coordinating with Finance, Operations, and Administration teams to provide effective support to district and project teams.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop, monitor, and update annual procurement plans to support timely project implementation.
  • Coordinate the compilation and timely submission of project reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including district and donor reporting requirements, and provide regular updates to the program director.
  • Schedule and document regular technical team meetings, track action points, and ensure agreed actions are implemented and followed through.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date project filing system, ensuring that key documents, reports, meeting records, and other project resources are properly stored, accessible, and shared with relevant team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Health Administration/Social Sciences or related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience and knowledge of Global Fund and USG rules and regulations preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and monitor program activities and budgets, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to foster teamwork, collaborate across diverse teams, and maintain a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills, including the ability to mentor staff, manage priorities, use Microsoft Office applications effectively, and travel as required to support program implementation.
