The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for Nurses, implemented in collaboration with the Novo-Nordisk Foundation (NNF) and key government and academic stakeholders, aims to strengthen the capacity of nursing faculty and institutions to deliver high-quality, competency-based education. The programme supports State Nodal Centres in strengthening faculty development systems, promoting blended and digital learning approaches, fostering mentorship and Communities of Practice, and improving the quality and effectiveness of nursing education. Through coordinated state-level implementation, the programme seeks to build a sustainable ecosystem for continuous faculty development and professional excellence in nursing education.
The Program Officer will support the implementation of the Faculty Development Program at the state level, working closely with the internal team and coordinating with State Nursing Councils, Nursing Directorates, NHM, State Nodal Centers, and academic institutions. The position will be responsible for assessing and strengthening the readiness of State Nodal Centers, coordinating training activities, facilitating faculty mentorship and Communities of Practice, and monitoring program progress and quality. The role will also contribute to stakeholder engagement, documentation, reporting, knowledge management, and timely resolution of implementation challenges, requiring strong coordination, communication, documentation, and field-level problem-solving skills.
