Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Senior IPC/MNCH Technical Advisor will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) preparedness and response, continuity of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services, and health systems strengthening under the MCGL BEVD Project.
The incumbent will serve as Jhpiego's senior technical focal point supporting the Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PHEOC), district authorities, referral hospitals, district hospitals and health centers platforms in strengthening readiness for Ebola and other emerging infectious disease threats. The position will lead the design, implementation, quality assurance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of preparedness strategies that ensure safe delivery of essential maternal, newborn, child health services during disease outbreaks and public health emergencies.
The Senior IPC/MNCH Technical Advisor will work at national and sub-national levels to strengthen health facility resilience, infection prevention capacity, health workforce competencies, emergency preparedness systems, surveillance linkages, emergency obstetric and newborn care readiness, and continuity of lifesaving MNCH services during Ebola preparedness and response efforts.
