Overview

We are looking for a ME Officer to support Jhpiego-UNFPA project.  The project aims to strengthen midwifery education and improving quality of maternal newborn health care in Indonesia to reduce maternal and newborn mortality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input and recommendations to address project indicators in alignment with project scope and goal along with M&E activities
  • Assist in developing effective and efficient monitoring systems, processes, and tools to provide quality (timely, accurate, and complete) data and generating evidence.
  • Assist in data collection
  • Check data quality and make corrective actions as necessary to ensure that the data/information generated is correct and reliable
  • Assist in data analysis of project indicators and performance based on data monitoring and provide feedback/input to project team accordingly
  • Track indicator achievement at all levels (output, outcome, and impact/goal) of the project activitie
  • Conduct field visits to oversee how data collection and M&E processes are implemented on the ground and provide immediate support or corrective action as necessary
  • Work closely with M&E Advisor and team in preparing relevant project reports
  • Deliver any other task as assigned by supervisor and M&E Advisor related with M&E matters

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Information Management, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Midwifery, Nursing, or a related field.  Master's degree is desirable.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation for health programs.
  • Experience supporting maternal and newborn health programs preferred.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and collaborative learning approaches preferred.
  • Experience monitoring health professional education or workforce development programs is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of MEL methodologies and data management systems.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, DHIS2, KoboToolbox, CommCare, or other data platforms.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
