The Cancer portfolio aims to strengthen India's response to the growing burden of lung cancer by supporting governments to design, implement and scale sustainable models of prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

The portfolio currently supports programs across common cancers (breast, cervical, oral and lung cancers) and strengthens care provision across the continuum from generating awareness, screening, diagnostics to patient management. The program works closely with national and state governments, development partners, academia, professional bodies and the private sector to develop scalable models that contribute towards India's National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD).

 

Program and Data Associate to be based in Odisha and Jharkhand. This position will support the day-to-day implementation and coordination of project activities across the demonstration districts,manitanence of programmatic data,  administrative and logistic support to the project teams based at state/district location. The position will report to the State Program Manager/Officer.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Programmatic, admin and logistic support (Time Spent 50%)
  • Support in organizing logistics and administrative support for conducting meetings, trainings, events under the project.
  • Support in procurement of program related material including IEC material, training modules, books, manuals as per procurement guidelines in consultation with admin and procurement team.
  • Ensure management of all programmatic documents, including photos, documents, videos, reports, presentations, concept notes, government letters, event reports, IEC materials, etc.
  • Maintain trackers and repository of all on going procurements, consultants, program inventories, important communication and approvals from donors and GOI letters etc. and tracking of ongoing Technical Contracts, deliverables and compliances with regular follow up with vendors.
  • Serve as a key contact for all types of programmatic support to the assigned programs and supervisor.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper documentation and tracking of consultants engaged within the programs and maintain monthly invoices, documentation, contracts etc. Support consultants in fulfilling requirements as per the HR department.
  • Prepare / Review/submission of claims and reconciliation with required supporting, activity budget preparation, procurement actions, advance settlements against activities etc.
  • Review and maintain stock inventory of training material periodically.
  • Manage and coordinate for ICO/state team’s travel related requirements and documentation.
  • Work closely with Program Associates at ICO for procurement and logistics related matters for respective states.
  • Assist in maintaining proper documentation of all financial transactions related to workshops and trainings.
  • 2.Data support (Time Spent 50%)
  • Coordinate timely collection, collation, compilation and recording of data pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Support Sr M&E Officer and Data Analyst at ICO in verifying accuracy of the data.
  • Assist in data collection and conduct field visits for follow-up assessments as needed.
  • Conduct/ support trainings of the data record reporters of the program facilities as needed.
  • Support supervisor in analyzing data, developing dashboards and generating relevant graphs and information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications

 

    • Bachelors in arts/commerce/social sciences/ social work or public health with Masters in the mentioned streams will be preferred.
    • Diploma in Statistics, Computer Application, Demography or Mathematics will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in programmatic, administrative and data support function.
    • Proficiency in data and MIS management packages like SPSS, EPI Info, MS Access & Advance Excel etc.
    • Data Base Management: including designing data entry program, data cleaning, data analysis, according to the indicators required in the frame of Projects.
    • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
    • Experience in working with the development sector/ INGOs would be preferred.
    • Experience in a similar profile.
