Overview

Jhpiego is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic candidate to serve as the Project Coordinator for the TIFA project. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, this position is pivotal in driving the project's data management, monitoring, and reporting initiatives. Responsible for the development and management of robust project monitoring systems. Ensure rigorous data quality, conduct in-depth data analysis, and prepare comprehensive periodic and final project reports. Drive the successful integration of key TB-nutrition indicators into national MIS platforms.

 

Work collaboratively with the internal Jhpiego team, consortium leads, and partner organizations and maintain strong working relationships with the Bangladesh Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (including MBDC, NTP, IPHN, and BNNC) and TB/Nutrition counterparts across project-supported districts to seamlessly execute TB-Nutrition activities. Partner closely with the Project Specialist to provide strategic technical guidance for all project-supported services. A major focus will be successfully embedding nutritional indicators into the national TB reporting system through active consultation with the NTP, MBDC, BNNC, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Quality
  • System Management: Operate and maintain the project monitoring systems, including all data collection tools, forms, and storage databases.
  • Performance Tracking: Continuously monitor project progress against established targets and performance indicators.
  • Data Assurance & DQAs: Ensure all field data is accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Conduct routine Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) at DOTS centers and community locations.
  • Capacity Building: Provide hands-on support and feedback to field and DOTS center staff to troubleshoot data issues and improve overall data capture practices.
  • Data Visualization: Analyze project data and translate findings into user-friendly dashboards and concise, actionable briefs to guide team decision-making.

 

  1. Systems Integration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Indicator Development: Collaborate with the National TB Control Program (NTP) to define and agree upon critical TB-nutrition indicators for integration into routine platforms like the e-TB Manager.
  • Technical Representation: Actively participate in technical meetings and workshops to discuss, advocate for, and finalize these systemic reporting metrics.

 

  1. Project Planning, Reporting & Knowledge Dissemination
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Draft, review, and submit all periodic progress updates, as well as the final project completion report.
  • Implementation Support: Assist the broader project team with strategic work planning, milestone tracking, and the documentation of lessons learned.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the creation of abstracts, case studies, and other informational materials to effectively disseminate project outcomes, successes, and best practices.

 

  1. Stakeholder Coordination & Alignment
  • National System Integration: Collaborate with the National TB Control Program (NTP) to define and incorporate key TB-nutrition indicators into routine health information platforms, including e-TB Manager.
  • Institutional Collaboration: Engage and liaise with key national directorates, such as MBDC and BNNC, to secure necessary project endorsement, administrative support, and strategic alignment.
  • Sub-National Partnerships: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with government and non-governmental stakeholders across district and upazila levels to ensure smooth field implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics/ Social Sciences/ Development Studies
  • Candidates having MPH degree will get preference
  • Academic focus or certified training in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Health Information Systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in project coordination, data management, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) within health-focused development projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Bangladesh healthcare system, specifically regarding Tuberculosis (NTP) and Public Health Nutrition programs.
  • Proven track record working with DOS/ USAID-funded projects or international donor-backed consortiums.
  • Experience liaising with national and district-level health directorates, such as the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW), MBDC, NTP, IPHN, and BNNC.
  • Working experience in Tuberculosis (TB), or Public Health Nutrition is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality donor progress reports, final project reports, case studies, and technical abstracts.
  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills to mentor field staff and health facility personnel on proper data capture techniques.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Bangla.
