Background

The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Jhpiego and with support from the Global Fund, is implementing interventions to strengthen Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH) and improve quality, equity, and people‑centered care across SRMNCAH and HTM programs.

Purpose of the Assignment

The Research Assistant will support high‑quality, ethical, and gender‑responsive implementation of the Gender Barrier Assessment through data collection, documentation, and preliminary analysis. In the national immunization program and partners, the Immunization Technical Lead will lead the drafting of applications using Gavi templates. The Immunization Technical Lead also provides leadership and guidance in the design, implementation, and monitoring of service delivery strategies, based on the latest evidence. Under the supervision of the Country Program Manager, the Technical Lead performs the following activities.

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in training on gender, ethics, safeguarding, and data collection
  • Conduct surveys, KIIs, and FGDs
  • Ensure respectful, inclusive, and confidential data collection
  • Upload and manage data using approved electronic platforms
  • Contribute to daily field reports and assessment outputs

 

Required Qualifications

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in research or data collection
    • Understanding of gender, equity, and human rights
    • Proficiency with electronic data collection tools
