The Supply Chain Advisor will be hired to support the Department of State’s Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. The role will focus on ensuring effective coordination and alignment between U.S, Government and the Ministry of Health through its Public Health Programs, while also ensuring that investments in commodities meaningfully address identified needs. The Supply Chain Advisor will be hired locally to strengthen Department of State (DoS) Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) malaria and HIV Programs’ supply chain systems and support the country’s transition to self-reliance. The incumbent will be embedded part-time at the National Institute for the Fight Against AIDS (INLS) and the National Malaria Control Program, providing technical guidance, management and oversight of DoS activities for pharmaceutical and commodity quantification, procurement and supply chain management. The Advisor also supports technical and administrative oversight to clinical and community-based malaria and HIV treatment, care and prevention activities.
This role will focus on strengthening local capacity, national supply chain policies adoption, and promoting sustainable supply chain system optimization.
