The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will provide technical leadership and hands-on support for monitoring, evaluation, learning, and data use across The Challenge Initiative (TCI) in Kenya. The role supports counties to strengthen routine health information systems, institutionalize data-driven decision-making (D4D), and improve the quality, availability, and use of FP and MNCH data for planning, performance management, and accountability.
Working closely with County Health Management Teams (CHMTs), Sub-CHMTs, and facility teams, the MEL Officer supports alignment with data management principles, strengthens data quality assurance and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes, and facilitates timely analysis and use of data to inform adaptive program implementation. The MEL Officer works in close coordination with the Senior Field Coordinator and Technical Officers to ensure data informs strategic oversight and implementation decisions.
