Overview

MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL), funded by the U.S. Government, is a global mechanism that saves lives and improves access to quality, integrated health services by distributing life-saving commodities, medicines, and vaccines, and providing critical health care services for pregnant mothers and children under five. The project provides safe childbirth for mothers and babies, vaccinates children, treats deadly illnesses and malnutrition, and controls disease outbreaks.  

 

The ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Officer is responsible for providing effective ICT services, including IT support and communication technologies. This includes maintaining web and digital platforms like OneDrive and SharePoint for the project, material design and social media engagement. The officer ensures proper setup, keeps equipment updated, and supports the smooth functioning of digital tools and online services, primarily for the MCGL project. This role involves overseeing ICT systems, ensuring security and usability, and offering technical support to maintain seamless digital operations.

Responsibilities

IT Systems Support and Maintenance

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues of MCGL project
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates of hardware, software, and systems, ensuring devices (laptops, desktops, and tablets) are free from viruses and malware.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide on-site and remote IT support during project events, training, and workshops.
  • Ensure internet connectivity and necessary digital resources are functional during events

 Rollout of Health System Tools

  • Assist MoHFW in integrating digital health platforms by providing technical support and participating in coordination meetings and contributing to system harmonization efforts.
  • Support the deployment of tools such as DHIS2, LMIS, and eLMIS across districts.
  • Conduct various training sessions, user support, and troubleshooting during rollout.

 Innovation & Learning Platforms

  • Create/support to create digital elements, upload, and manage digital archives for the MCGL 
  • Facilitate the dissemination of knowledge and learning products via Jhpiego/MCGL SharePoint and other relevant online platforms.
  • Assist in creating and regularly updating a repository of uploaded documents and resources to enable convenient, quick sharing with intended stakeholders.
  • Design IEC and other similar materials for smooth project activities
  • Under the guidance of supervisor and support from central IT team, regularly follow up and update organization’s social media activities

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the technical lead and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and periodic reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist central IT team for managing IT inventory global system reporting as and when required

 

Any other job related to the function will be allocated as and when required by the Supervisor. This position may require field visits to the project implementing areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computer science/computer engineering or relevant fields.
  • Minimum 03-05 years of experience in ICT support, networking and troubleshooting.
  • Practical knowledge of networking, desktop/laptop configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 environment
  • Sufficient skills on graphic design software like photoshop, illustrator etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working in donor-funded projects preferably health projects and government collaborations.
  • Understanding the latest global ICT trend and use as and when required
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, firewalls, and internet service technologies.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects or working with MoH is an asset.
  • Highly motivated, quick learner, energetic and able to work under pressure with ability to handle multiple priorities
