Jhpiego is a non-profit global health leader and Johns Hopkins University affiliate that saves lives, improves health and transforms futures. We partner with governments, health experts and local communities to build the skills and systems that guarantee a healthier future for women and families. Jhpiego translates the best science and practices into moments of care that can mean the difference between life and death for women and families. Jhpiego’s partnerships are revolutionizing health care for the world’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable people. In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, RTSL, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.
Jhpiego, under the RISE Global Health Security (GHS) project, is supporting the Government of India to strengthen outbreak preparedness and response capacities through a comprehensive digital learning and workforce development initiative. Leveraging the Digital Implementation Unit (DIU), the project focuses on building scalable, competency-based e-learning content that enhances frontline skills in One Health, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC), Laboratory strengthening, and Zoonotic disease surveillance. This effort aligns with national priorities for integrated, multisectoral preparedness and contributes to a resilient health system capable of early detection, rapid response, and coordinated management of public health threats.
The DIU employs Jhpiego’s ACES (AI-generated Content with Expert Supervision) approach to rapidly develop high-quality digital modules that blend scientific accuracy with modern instructional design. This method accelerates production timelines while ensuring contextual relevance and technical rigor. The resulting e-learning packages are designed for health workers across human, animal, and environmental health sectors, supporting cross-sectoral collaboration at state, district, and facility levels.
