Jhpiego is seeking a highly organized, creative, and impact-driven professional to provide executive-level administrative and strategic support to the Country Director, while contributing to Jhpiego’s innovation and newer initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of the Country Director’s office, facilitate effective coordination across teams, and strengthen Jhpiego’s engagement with donors, partners, and the relevant public health community. The role also supports innovation pilots, visual storytelling, and program management to advance Jhpiego’s mission.

Responsibilities

  1. Executive & Administrative Support to the Country Director
  • Ensure effective and efficient functioning of the Country Director’s office, fostering professionalism, discretion, and teamwork at all times.
  • Manage the Country Director’s schedule, organize regular and ad-hoc meetings, prepare minutes/action points, track follow-ups, and ensure timely progress.
  • Screen all incoming communications and ensure effective management of outgoing correspondence.
  • Provide efficient administrative support, including travel arrangements, appointments, and preparation of background/briefing notes.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, interoffice circulars, briefing notes, reports, presentations, and translations when required.
  • Coordinate timely information flow between the Country Director, Senior Management Team, Program and Operations Teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain team status reports, document best practices/lessons learned, and support internal knowledge management.
  • Organize and support advocacy events, donor engagements, and external stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage and regularly update a database of important partnerships and relationships.
  • Facilitate effective coordination for reports, deadlines, and internal decision-making processes.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality in handling sensitive organizational documents and communications.
  • Work in close partnership with the Country Director’s Office including SSPG, assisting in documentation, coordination, and follow-up to ensure smooth execution of priorities.
  1. Innovation, Design Thinking & Visual Communication
  • Collaborate with technical teams to enhance use of digital tools and platforms.
  • Develop compelling visual materials (donor decks, one-pagers, infographics, advocacy campaigns) using design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Procreate.
  • Lead and support public health campaigns across digital and offline platforms.
  • Assist in researching, tracking, and analyzing key developments in the public health landscape to inform strategy, partnerships, and program design.
  • Support the development of PowerPoint presentations, document briefers, and other communication tools for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Communication, Innovation, Health Systems, Design, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in health innovation, multimedia communication, digital health, or program implementation.
  • Proven ability in office management, executive support, and organizational coordination.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Procreate, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of public health programming, communication for development, and innovation pilots.
