Jhpiego is sourcing a surge pool of Project Management Consultants to contribute to the start-up and delivery, of short-term public health projects (e.g., maternal health, newborn health, child health, nutrition, malaria, HIV, immunizations, global health security) Read more about our areas of expertise at https://www.jhpiego.org/our-expertise/).

Responsibilities

 

  1. Start-up:
      • Partner with in-country team members, national government and partners to develop project work plans
      • Draft organizational charts, JDs, and support recruitment
      • Draft procurement plans
      • Provide budget inputs to finance team
  2. Project management support for implementation of approved work plan to include
      • Risk identification and management
      • Meeting/collaborating with donor, partners, and national governments
      • Tracking implementation of the project deliverables using project management technical skills.
      • Drafting and finalizing reports.
      • Financial reviews

These candidates will form a part of the roster out of which Project Management Consultants will be selected by Jhpiego to work alongside project team on short- to long-term tasks. We will develop detailed scopes of work for each specific consultancy. These roles will mainly be based in the country where the project is being implemented.

Travel will be determined on an as-needed basis.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience (10+ years) of large (>$5M) donor funded public health projects developing workplans, providing budget inputs; drafting organizational charts, developing and tracking risk matrices, developing procurement plans,  and other project management tools. Project management certification (PMD Pro, PMP) preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiarity with technical approaches and project indicators
  • Ability to work independently, with attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is desirable.
