Overview

In Bangladesh, SRHR coordinator will support government health managers to strengthen quality SRMNCAH services at the district to union level health and family planning facilities. He or she will provide necessary technical assistance to managers and do mentoring for service providers to improve service quality.

Responsibilities

The District SRHR Coordinator will be responsible for

  • To increase SRHR service access, availability and utilization in marginalized and vulnerable communities in the district
  • To increase institutional deliveries at UHFWCs
  • To increase comprehensive and integrated SRHR service access, availability and utilization at UHFWCs
  • To improve comprehensive and integrated SRHR service access, availability and utilization at UHCs/MCWCs/DHs
  • To improve resilience and adaptability of community and health systems to respond to climate change and humanitarian events vis-à-vis SRHR
  • To strengthen community mechanisms to increase awareness about comprehensive and integrated SRHR services and utilization of these services from the health facilities
  • To maintain good working relations with all UNFPA IP’s to get maximum result

Required Qualifications

Qualification & Experience :

  • MBBS. MPH is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of similar work experience is required

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Team-building and motivation skills
  • Quick and informed decision-making
  • Skills in prioritizing and organizing the work
  • Good in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in the computer using, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
