Overview

OVC Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the OVC Activity Manager to implement OVC activities including supervising CCWs, coordinating education and parenting support, facilitating birth registration, raising awareness on the risk of exploitation affecting OVC and Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and enrollment of OVC sub-populations including those eligible for DREAMS programming;
  • Oversee implementation of parenting programs and economic strengthening interventions.
  • Strengthen partnerships with healthcare facilities to streamline referrals and facilitate enrollment.
  • Ensure effective linkage to care and continuous service provision for C/ALHIV across the care continuum.
  • Coordinate with clinical and community actors to provide holistic support for C/ALHIV.
  • Monitor and follow up to reduce loss to follow-up and support adherence to treatment.
  • Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders and community leaders to enhance project ownership and sustainability.
  • Support community sensitization and mobilization efforts related to OVC and DREAMS initiatives.
  • Provide direct supervision and technical support to OVC and Linkages Program Officers.
  • Ensure consistent engagement and supervision of community cadre by program staff.
  • Facilitate effective data collection, reflection sessions, and adaptive programming based on insights.
  • Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities.
  • Promote participatory approaches by engaging beneficiaries in program design, implementation, and feedback.
  • Assist in planning, budgeting, and coordination of deliverables in compliance with donor and organizational standards.
  • Document field experiences, including success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Support the preparation of internal and donor reports

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, HIV/AIDS, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in coordinating health, OVC, and HIV/AIDS-related projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and coordination.
  • Proven experience in facilitating community-based interventions and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in conducting OVC-related trainings.
  • Prior experience coordinating Donor-funded projects is required.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, project design, and program management.
  • Experience in program coordination and supportive supervision.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience in preparing management and donor reports.
