Riding Service for Transport of Specimen (Open to Filipino Nationals Only - Cebu Based)

The Centralized Laboratory Model for HPV DNA Screen (CLAMS) Project 2 aims to catalyze the utilization of new cervical cancer screening technology using a high throughput testing platform and centralized laboratory model for HPV testing in highly urbanized settings. The project demonstrated a screening - linked -to-treatment model for secondary prevention of cervical cancer in primary health care settings through (1) health workforce strengthening activities in HPV DNA testing, ablative treatment and data management (2) establishing health care providers network for secondary prevention of cervical cancer in the health sector setting (3) digital solutions for managing health information for secondary prevention and (4) supporting national level for advocacy activities for scale up and expansion.

To facilitate the proper transport of samples and materials from project hubs to the laboratory and/or vice versa, a designated transport service is required. The transport service may be from an existing transport network vehicle service, or individuals hired for short-term engagement assigned to the project area.

The CeCaRTS shall be responsible for the following:
1. Transport of Specimen, Reagents, Documents, and other requirements
a. The CeCaRTS shall be responsible for the proper handling of the transported goods while in transit.
b. The CeCaRTS should be trained in handling the samples to be transported
c. Any loss or damage of the transported goods while in transit shall be the responsibility of the TSP.
d. The CeCaRTS shall ensure that goods transported are released to authorized person only.
e. The CeCaRTS shall ensure timely delivery of the goods from one site to another

The Cervical Cancer Riding Service for Transport of Specimen (CeCaRTS) may be an agency or individual motorcycle rider that will transport samples from collection sites of samples to the laboratory and may transport small volume of commodities from the region to the hubs or laboratory.
The CeCaRTS should have the following:
1. Motorcycle
2. Updated driver’s license
3. Motorcycle gears such as, helmet, etc.

The CeCaRTS shall be assigned to Cebu City Health Department’s designated project hubs, and their partner laboratory, and Jhpiego thru the Regional 7 – CHD.
