Responsibilities

The Manager, Market Access and Growth will support Jhpiego’s market access activities across multiple technical areas (i.e. HIV, TB, MNCH, women’s cancers). This position will play a critical role in forging new and enhanced strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders. The Manager, Market Access and Growth will be responsible for conducting robust market analysis, have and/or develop a thorough understanding of product markets, and will work with stakeholders to distill complex information into succinct operational strategies for increased access and improved health outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct key data analytics, market research to determine market access strategies
  • Establish key connections and relationships with stakeholders across different technical areas, public and private to help drive growth and partnerships.
  • Develop strategies, frameworks, models and communications to outline priority supply-side and demand-side issues, models and solutions.
  • Effectively communicate key market landscaping and data to a broad range of audiences.
  • Bringing together subject matter experts and policy stakeholders, using latest evidence and market trends.
  • Expand partnerships to help drive growth in different technical areas and services.
  • Provide operational support to the stakeholders including Ministries/Departments of Health and local affiliates as needed to coordinate with TB, HIV, and Hepatitis Programs on scale-up planning and public procurement.
  • Provide technical inputs into concept notes, presentations, reports for different audiences
  • Execute other responsibilities as needed by the team

Required Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Public Health or other related disciplines, with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a private or public sector
  • Within 8 years or more, 3-5 years of in the private sector experience in management consulting, marketing or corporate development to support product introduction and product uptake
  • Superior communication and writing skills with demonstrated excellence in technical writing
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work nationally and regionally with a range of stakeholders, including governments, pharmaceuticals or biotech companies, insurance companies,
  • Ability to navigate complex governmental, private and organizational processes and favorably influence decision-making in a professional and collaborative manner
  • Familiarity with government budgeting and procurement processes in the Asia Pacific Region, including the Philippines
  • strategic, entrepreneurial and growth mindset with ability to connect the health systems level with operational roll out and realities.
  • Demonstrated experience forging, establishing and maintaining new partnerships with varied sectors
  • Experience and familiarity with global health desired
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • High level of experience and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and presenting findings and recommendations
  • Ability to work in a fast moving, multi-tasking environment while leading and mentoring staff toward ambitious targets
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
