In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.

This position will be based in New Delhi under Women’s Health Program.  This position will be primarily responsible for supporting various program communications products and developing content and basic level of research for content development.  

Responsibilities

  • Communication and Design:

    • Creating communication materials for events and workshops, including backdrops, standees, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, invitation cards and merchandise.
    • Developing print and digital communication collaterals such as IEC materials, newsletters, reports, infographics, presentations, brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics among others.

    Research and Design:

    • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with program team and tech product managers
    • Develop an understanding of the end-users through secondary and primary research. Generate user personas and user scenarios
    • Prepare and present designs, wireframes, and prototypes to internal teams and key stakeholders
    • Deliver design solutions to stakeholders, defend design decisions and incorporate feedback into the design cycle

    Others:

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Program officers, Engineers, & Program Managers and Researchers to overcome various challenges and prioritize user experiences
    • Identify new research methods, tools, and techniques to use improve our processes and solutions.
    • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in communication and graphic designing.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Mass Communication or Communication Design
  • Despreferably in the not-for-profit development sector in India.
  • High proficiency in Canva, FIGMA Adobe suite, sketch, illustrator and designing softwares
  • Experience in conducting user research and best utilization of industry design standards and practices to define.
