USAID Afya Yangu–Mama na Mtoto is a five-year project (2022–2027) aimed at increasing the demand for and use of quality integrated RMNCAH services, particularly by women and youth in Tanzania. The project is implemented in 11 regions of Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. The project’s goal is to increased use of, demand for and access to quality integrated RMNCAH and immunization services, particularly by youth and women.
To enable the project, execute its mandate, the project has incorporated implementation research and program learning with the aim of conducting secondary analysis of program routine data with the aim of understanding barriers associated with family planning access and uptake Among Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and & addressing the gaps.
This study will utilize family planning data collected using MTUHA/ HMIS books and aggregated in DHIS2. The study is interested with the data for Mwanza region in Mwanza and use the findings to inform and improve program approaches for improved use of modern contraceptives among youth and adolescents.
The purpose of the activity
The purpose of this activity is to engage a local consultant to support USAID Afya Yangu Mama na Mtoto Project with local IRB application processes, data analysis and study technical report writing and dissemination using appropriate for as will be identified by both parties NIMR and Jhpiego.
