Medical Field Assistant-EGHS (Short Term)

The incumbent will work under the Medical Field Supervisor to accomplish the EGHS project field site. S/he will be responsible for qualitative data collection using key informant interview (KII) guideline in the selected surveillance sites in Bangladesh.

Major Responsibilities:

• Travel to field sites to conduct KIIs with preselected surveillance focal personnel.
• Obtain informed consent, and carry out interviews as per the KII guidelines
• Transcribe recorded interviews and fill up KII report as per template
• Maintain the highest standards for the protection/management of data as per KII guidelines
• Daily reporting and communication with the Team Lead – Surveillance

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

• Previous experience in Public Health or field of Epidemiology / surveillance
• Must be a MBBS graduate
• Enrolled or completed MPH will be added advantage

• Proven understanding and hands-on experience in data collection
• Knowledge on surveillance system will be an added advantage.
• Coordination with stakeholders.
