Overview

The incumbent will be accountable for overseeing data collection activities within the CDC-EGHS project. This role involves supervising a group of data collectors conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and providing technical support. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring data quality, adherence to project protocols and timely completion of tasks. The incumbent will support the Project Lead in data analysis, report writing and smooth day to day operations of the project.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support planning, implementation, and coordination of data collection activities.
  • Supervise and manage a team of data collectors conducting KIIs.
  • Train data collectors on KII protocols, ethical considerations and data collection and recording tools.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to program protocols.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of data collection activities and acts as the primary administrative point of contact for project staff (data collectors) and selected sites.
  • Coordinate the provision of support services to data collectors and data analysis
  • Travel as appropriate to program sites to assist in program logistics, including financial arrangements, equipment, data collection, supply coordination and travel arrangements
  • Review collected data for completeness, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain records of assessment activities, and prepare periodic and adhoc reports, as required by Project lead, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies
  • Working closely with program lead, coordinate execution of approved program workplan

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience of working with DGHS.
  • Proven experience in Health System Management.
  • Applicant has to be an MBBS graduate
  • Having MPH will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advance knowledge and experience in Public Health
  • Previous work experience with Govt. stakeholders
  • Strong communication and netwworking skills
  • Advance research, anlyzing, presentation and reporting skills
