Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the safety and security of the assigned premises, including the buildings, gates, grounds, and personnel. Their primary duties involve controlling access, conducting patrols, and responding to any security incidents or emergencies to ensure the overall protection of the property and its occupants. This Position is Based in Kabul Afghanistan

Responsibilities

  1. Access Control:
  • Verify the identity and purpose of all visitors, contractors, and employees entering the premises.
  • Grant or deny entry based on established security protocols and authorization levels.
  • Monitor and maintain a detailed log of all individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Ensure that all doors, gates, and perimeter access points are kept locked and always secured.

 

  1. Patrolling and Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular, scheduled patrols of the interior and exterior of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, potential security breaches, or safety hazards.
  • Monitor and respond to security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras to detect and address any security incidents.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all observations, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.

 

  1. Incident Response and Emergency Preparedness:
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to any security incidents, emergencies, or accidents occurring on the premises.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire department, or emergency medical services as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
  • Provide first aid or basic life support in the event of a medical emergency, as required.

 

  1. Reporting and Communication:
  • Maintain professional communication with the team, staff, clients, visitors, laborers, and vendors.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, management, and other relevant personnel.
  • Provide detailed shift reports, highlighting any significant events, incidents, or concerns.
  • Participate in regular security briefings and training sessions to stay informed about policies, procedures, and security protocol changes.

 

  1. Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including visitor logs, incident reports, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Assist with managing and distributing security equipment, such as keys, access cards, and radio communication devices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management, within the scope of the security guard's responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  1. Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, patrol the premises, and respond to emergencies.

 

  1. Education Qualifications:
  • Must hold at least 12 grade certificates.
