Jhpiego, through the Centralized Laboratory Model for HPV DNA Screening (CLAMS) Project, works with the Department of Health, local health officials, private sector and civil society to advance country commitments to WHO’s global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer as public health burden by 2030. The project increases access to optimal cervical cancer screening and early detection technology through capacity building activities, demand generation and awareness activities, supporting scale-up of services through the national cervical cancer control and management program.
The CLAMS project has screened 4,775 women using HPV DNA testing, built clinical capacities of 42 health providers; trained 278 community health educators; engaged civil society organization across marginalized sectors; and introduced HPV DNA testing through self-collection and treatment of pre-cancer lesions using thermal ablation in 5 project sites.
Jhpiego is seeking a technical writer to conduct technical documentation of the CLAMS Project demonstration of the service delivery pathway for cervical cancer screening and treatment using HPV DNA testing and centralized laboratory model.
