Jhpiego seeks a Director of Monitoring, Evaluation Research and Learning to support an anticipated five-year, multi-country, PEPFAR/CDC-funded project to strengthen the capacity of host-country governments and non—governmental organizations to sustainably combat HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. The primary objective of this project is to support countries to sustain low levels of HIV incidence while supporting greater ownership and management of projects. The MERL Director will supervise and manage the project’s M&E team and oversee the collection, management, analysis, and use of project data, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into project implementations to continuously improve quality of interventions and outcomes. The MERL Director will also be responsible for designing and conducting assessments, operations research and evaluations to address project needs. The MERL Director will be based within one of Jhpiego’s country offices in Africa and international travel will be required.
This position is contingent upon award and annual funding from CDC.
Proficient in additional language (French, Portuguese)
