Sr. Finance Manager (Francophone) will provide leadership in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of Jhpiego’s global programs finance unit for the Francophone portfolio. This includes support during the full life cycle of a assigned programs for various countries including but not limited to: proposals, start-up, implementation financial monitoring and management, close-out and other cross-cutting functions such as auditing and financial reporting. The Sr. Finance Manager (Francophone) is part of the Program Finance Unit Management Team working closely with the Sr. Director of the Global Programs Finance Unit, Program Staff, and Jhpiego’s Country offices to ensure accurate financial, contractual and administrative reporting to the management team and to agencies external to Jhpiego. This includes ensuring financial systems and reports are compatible with standard Jhpiego accounting practices and follow donor rules and regulations.
The Sr. Finance Manager provides financial guidance to the GPO Management Team, Jhpiego’s Program Managers, Country Directors, and agencies external to Jhpiego, particularly partner organizations. The SFM must work closely with both the Global Programs Finance Unit’s leadership to ensure that resources are appropriately allocated and tracked (including earmarks) and that expenditures are in line with available funding. The SFM must also provide capacity building, coaching and mentoring of junior finance staff at HQ and in-country and local partners by developing learning activities and materials to support capacity building. Contribute to staff orientation and technical updates to ensure staff possess excellent knowledge of technical area and approaches.
Jhpiego is currently working on a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week.
