  • Overview

    Sr. Program Officer needed to serve as the Pilihanku PPFP representative in appointed district and Province for implementation and Scale up program and as key PPFP/Jhpiego representative in Province and coordinates with the other PPFP districts and PPFP Officer


    Program Pilihanku is Family Planning Program funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation currently expanding to 6 Provinces and more than 20 Districts in Indonesia. Jhpiego is focusing on Post Partum Family Planning (PPFP) as a way to help increase MCPR by double the amount of women received counseling and adopt a method before leaving a facility at the selected facility. For year 4 and 5, Pilihanku is assisting BKKBN and KemKes to scale up to other districts in 6 selected provinces.


    Please note that only candidates with work authorization for Indonesia will be considered.




    • Work closely with Sr. Program Manager and Clinical Specialist in order to prepare district activities and implementation
    • Provide technical assistance (PPFP performance standard, BCS, use of FP register PPFP, QI Meeting, Advocacy to providers’/health facility trained in PPFP service by Pilihanku
    • Ensure trained and mentored providers are able and practicing PPFP
    • Perform district assessment to ensure the smoothness of PPFP implementation (selected hospitals meet the criteria for CoE PPFP, budget allocated for follow up post training)
    • Ensure data collection are performing monthly thru web based by facilities
    • Develop and ensure effective facility and district PPFP QI Team
    • Coordinate PPFP activities in facilities in the district
    • Coordinate with Pilihanku Provincial partner (JHU-CCP, JSI) meetings, trainings and updates
    • Organize, coordinate and provide inputs for bi-weekly or monthly monitoring meeting or supply side activities at district level
    • Report monthly documentation of process, accomplishment as well as lessons learned
    • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, stakeholder and partners in facilities (Hospital/Puskesmas/Private Practice Midwife) and district
    • Ensure the smooth transition to district QI Team for exiting the 2016 Districts
    • Perform administrative activities when necessary


    Required Qualifications

    • Medical or Public Health educational background
    • Background and experience in Family Planning Program/MNCH
    • 15+ years’ experience in related activities (maternal/family planning services, District Health Office and or public health activity related to maternal health/family planning
    • Strong management and technical skills
    • Team player who is dedicated, hardworking, innovative and highly motivated
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field but Master’s degree preferred
    • Experience writing, collecting, analyzing and contextualizing clinical data and computer skills
    • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and pressure to perform
