  • Overview

    Partner Notification Services Facilitator needed to implement a successful partner notification services in the  Ugu District.  This includes linkage to care and treatment and tracing of loss to follow up on VMMC clients provided with HIV testing services within PEPFAR and DoH community HIV programs.


    Only candidates with South African work authorization will be considered.



    Ensure VMMC clients are successfully linked HTS and PNS

    •  Identify illegible VMMC clients and recruit
    • Provide HTS, link to care and initiate the partner notification services
    • Liaise with facility HTS counsellors and other professionals to link eligible men to VMMC services
    • Liaise with VMMC teams to successfully link VMMC clients to HTS local partners
    • Disseminate and use all relevant linkage and referral M&E tools to staff and clients
    • Establish good working relations with community HTS implementing partners
    • Facilitate an active same time linkage to HTS, care and treatment
    • Provide support supervision for the integration of VMMC and HTS

    Implement Partner notification services (PNS)      

    • Plan and coordinate PNS activities in the allocated area
    • Work with relevant stakeholders to organise successful Index case finding, PNS, linkages to care and treatment
    • Provide illegible VMMC patients with PNS options and follow up accordingly
    • Contact partners and follow up on index clients
    • Roving between allocated facilities (Must be familiar with the area)


    Monitoring and Evaluation              

    • Collect and verify relevant data as required
    • Ensure availability of tools in allocated facilities at all times
    • Conduct data validation
    • Submit data, weekly and monthly reports


    Required Qualifications

    • Matric or 4 Years’ experience working experience in addition to the number of community work experience require.
    • Certificate in HIV & AIDS/health education, management/administration
    • 2 years’ community experience in education and training
    • Organising community activities e.g. campaigns, activations
    • Previous experience in HTS and VMMC
    • Ability to work independently, under pressure and efficiently
    • Proficiency in local languages
    • Sound interpersonal skills and must be able to engage with HTS stakeholders and the community
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Creative and Innovative
    • Leadership skills
    • Valid driver’s license
