  • Overview

    Jhpiego Indonesia is currently implementing a study entitled Post-partum Family Planning Choices study. The Program Manager will report to Research and Evaluation Director while working in close collaboration with the Family Planning Team Lead. His/her primary role will be to support implementation and oversight of the Jhpiego/Indonesia PPFP Choices study.  The PPFP Choices study is researching the acceptability and feasibility of immediate postpartum family planning in Indonesia.  Project activities will be carried out to support the study: strengthening of the quality PPFP counseling and services, and expansion of method choice during antenatal and early labor, as well as pre-discharge periods.

     

    PPFP Choices Study is focusing the program on four major objectives:

    1. Establish a comprehensive program implementation framework for the private sector to embrace PPFP
    2. Improve the quality of PPFP counseling and service provision in both public and private sectors
    3. Build evidence and contribute to the literature and programmatic guidance around PPFP uptake and continuation in both public and private sectors
    4. Ensure effective documentation and strategic dissemination which will benefit PPFP introduction and scale-up more broadly

     

    Responsibilities

    Scope of Work:

    • Involve in technical coordination with stake holder MoH and BKKBN and facility in develop PAC FP counselling service training guideline
    • Review and adapt materials to develop PAC FP counselling service training guideline
    • Develop counselling  service training guideline for strengthen PAC FP implementation
    • Arrange and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to coordinate PAC FP counselling Material and capacity building system
    • Involve in capacity building to implement PAC FP counseling service material
    • Participate in Technical Advisory Group meetings and other project-related meetings as identified

     

    Deliverables:

    • Collect and review source material to develop PAC FP counseling training guideline
    • Develop Draft PAC FP counseling Curriculum and training guideline
    • Coordination meeting with stake holders to share PAC FP counseling training guideline draft
    • Testing PAC FP counseling training draft
    • Finalize PAC FP counseling material
    • PAC FP counseling service to Facilities in Brebes
    • End of assignment report, including final drfat of PAC FP counseling service training guideline, capacity building mechanism outline, etc.

    Required Qualifications

    • Medical degree or advanced degree in public health with 5+ years experience in health service counseling in facility or BA/BS and 10+ years' experience in health service counseling in facility
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills with different levels of officials
    • Fluent in Bahasa and English language skills
    • Understanding of health system, Develop training material, Post abortion care, and family planning preferred
