    Jhpiego is an international non-profit health organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University. For over 40 years now, Jhpiego has empowered front-line health workers by designing and implementing effective, low-cost, hands-on solutions to strengthen the delivery of health care services for women and their families. By putting evidence-based health innovations into everyday practice. Jhpiego South Sudan office wishes to fill three consultancy positions, which will be based in Juba. Employment with Jhpiego is subject to the availability of funds from the donor. South Sudanese nationals are highly encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Chief of party, the Program Assistant will help manage the administrative, financial, logistical and programmatic tasks required for SPPHC project. This includes assisting with program administration including scheduling meetings, preparation or editing of program reports, and power point presentations. The program assistant will also be responsible for driving Jhpiego vehicles to the project sites and other designated areas by the Chief of Party.

    Required Qualifications

    • A basic university degree in social sciences or a health related field is required; and additional post graduate certifications are an added advantage.
    • Three years work experience
    • Have a valid driving license.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence.
    • Ability to handle a variety of different assignments sometimes under pressure of deadlines.
    • Be cooperative, competent, hardworking, flexible and dependable.
    • Ability to coordinate information and logistics for programs and activities.
    • Good team player
    • Basic understanding of HIV/AIDS and Health related issues, with a global focus is necessary.

    A broad variety of programmatic, administrative, financial, and computer skills (including Word Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access), which may need to be acquired through very quick learning.
