Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
The FP Technical Advisor will provide technical and administrative support in the different areas of FP. He / she must be one of the leaders of the FP in the country. He / she must have strong skills in FP and maternal health, program management skills, and the experience of working with professional organizations and organizations. He / She should contribute to the planning and implementation of monitoring-evaluation, site improvement, supervision, demand creation, and training with the collaboration of USAID and Ministry of Health and NGOs.
Represents Jhpiego in meetings at the Ministry and at the level of the different partners involved in the FP.
Ensures the implementation of FP activities implemented by Jhpiego as part of the technical support provided to the Ministry of Health.
Acts as a FP technical resource for Jhpiego/Benin and provides technical assistance in health related areas Ensures high quality implementation of the program in line with IHS guidelines and USAID/Benin strategic directions
Supports the design, adaptation, writing and distribution of training materials or technical tools used for FP activities. Maintains the political and strategic documents of the various areas of FP intervention.
Conducts planning and organization of provider training activities and post-training follow-up with local resource persons trained by Jhpiego.
Identifies the needs for support, guidance, monitoring and supervision of FP activities in the intervention areas of Jhpiego in Benin.
Works closely with the monitoring and evaluation team, regional coordinators and focal points in the government to continuously monitor, report FP activities, analyze local data to identify progress and gap.
Ensures that all sites supported by Jhpiego work in accordance with USAID regulatory standards and policies.
Reproduces results of FP interventions using the appropriate tools and submits a report including recommendations from meetings held for this purpose.
Continuously monitors the availability of human resources trained in the integrated sites as well as FP work and management tools.
Contributes to ensuring the clarity of the results of the interventions, the offer of FP services, lessons learned with Jhpiego employees, partners and subcontractors.
Coordinates with other technical team members and NGO partners to develop and implement feasible community approaches
Provides training for providers (clinical and community level)
