Jhpiego seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor to provide technical leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for an upcoming USAID nutrition, maternal and child health, and family planning project in Guatemala. This project aims to strengthen national government policies, their implementation at the local level, and health systems to expand access to improved nutrition and health services and encourage normative changes at the community level to increase uptake of healthy behaviors. The project will have a focus on the facilities and community level. The project will operate over a five-year period.
The Advisor will provide technical leadership to develop project framework, plans and indicators to capture performance results and provide effective, accurate and timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all project activities. The M&E Advisor will supervise and manage the M&E team to design and implement nutrition, maternal and child health and family planning M&E activities, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into project implementation to continuously improve quality of interventions and outcomes. The M&E Advisor is responsible for documenting and disseminating project successes and challenges to USAID. The M&E Advisor will also be responsible for designing and conducting operations research. Advisor will liaise with consortium partners and the Ministry of Health to implement monitoring and evaluation activities.
