The Technical Director will closely supervise the program implementation team on HIV prevention activities – namely Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) and oral Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) - to ensure that resources are applied appropriately (e.g. human, financial and material). Responsibilities include supervising technical staff, overseeing annual work planning, leading the design, implementation and reporting of project activities, and representing Jhpiego to donors and partners. The Technical Director will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and assistance in comprehensive HIV prevention services for program staff and other stakeholders; representing the project in technical working groups; and overseeing the development of HIV quality improvement systems. The Technical Director is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of a comprehensive HIV program. S/he will provide technical leadership in development of annual workplans and budgets to ensure program design is line with program and Ministry of Health (MOH) strategies and international best practices. S/he will also work closely with program and technical staff to ensure excellence in technical implementation at targeted sites and communities. In addition, the Technical Director will lead cross-cutting approaches, such as quality assurance and improvement, linkages and referrals among services, and conduct operations research, as well as supervise other technical specialists and report to the Country Director and has the following responsibilities:
