Jhpiego seeks a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) to provide program and technical guidance for an upcoming Health Systems Strengthening project which aims to improve health outcomes, particularly for the most marginalized and disadvantaged groups, by improving access to and quality of maternal, child and reproductive health services, with specific focus on newborn care in Nepal. DCOP will work closely with technical implementation teams to ensure the project is progressing towards expected results. DCOP also works with M&E staff to ensure project deliverables are monitored and course corrections are identified and implemented as appropriate. Other responsibilities will include supervising program management or operational staff, overseeing annual work planning, leading the design, implementation and reporting of project activities, and the management of projects as required. In the absence of the Chief of Party, the DCOP may be required to undertake the responsibilities of that position on a temporary basis.
The project will operate over a five-year period. This position is contingent upon award from USAID. Nepali nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
