Jhpiego seeks a One Health Advisor to support of an upcoming global health security project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The contract, valued at up to $300 million, will support in-country counterparts in up to 50 focus countries to enhance the capacity of national and sub-national laboratory networks and surveillance systems; develop and strengthen data collection, analysis, and reporting relating to surveillance and detection systems; and provide targeted technical assistance during outbreaks for detection, surveillance, and data analysis and management.
The One Health Advisor will be included in the project’s core team and work closely with the Technical Director to contribute to the design, implementation, and monitoring of the project’s One Health approaches and frameworks. The One Health Advisor will also work in close collaboration with project’s Country GHS Project Leads and other country-based technical and MERL staff to provide expertise and overall technical and programmatic guidance on operationalizing and coordinating national and regional One Health approaches. The One Health Advisor will be based either in Baltimore or one of Jhpiego’s country-based offices and international travel will be required.
This position is contingent upon award and annual funding from USAID.
USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a seven-year USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning. MCGL seeks a Technical Director with extensive family planning experience to ensure the technical rigor, evidence-base and methodological soundness for all family planning-related technical assistance under an upcoming USAID family planning program in Jordan. The MCGL Jordan program will provide support to the USAID/Jordan-funded Government to Government Partnership for Health in Family Planning (PHFP) program, led by the Ministry of Health, with aims to promote and provide quality family planning services to the population of Jordan.
The position will operate under the leadership of the Chief of Party and MCGL’s senior management team and will, in collaboration with project team and partners, coordinate and lead technical implementation of providing technical assistance and mentorship support to the Ministry of Health, with a focus on the FP department within the Women and Child Health Directorate, but also FP technical advice to the Health Communication and Awareness Directorate, the Royal Medical Services, Jordanian Professional Associations and other FP stakeholders. The position will be accountable for the PHFP achieving measurable results in family planning service delivery and demand generation, as well as for specific health workforce development and FP innovations results under the project results framework. The position will also promote scientific evidence and a deep understanding of Jordanian cultural and socio-political contexts in the design and implementation of MCGL support to the Ministry of Health and other Jordanian stakeholders.

The project aims to engage AYUSH healthcare providers, chemists, and rural healthcare providers and link them with appropriate health facilities for early diagnosis and management thereby reducing delays in diagnosis.
For this project, Jhpiego is hiring one positions of SeniorProgram Officers based at different location of Himachal Pradesh based on project requirement. The incumbent will provide technical and managerial expertise to the State toward shaping the strategies and activities, under the TIFA project to engage AYUSH healthcare providers, chemists, and rural healthcare providers under NTEP for early diagnosis and management thereby reducing delays in diagnosis. Jhpiego works closely with the Department of Health to help the country meet its commitments to the Cervical Cancer Elimination Global Strategy through the Scale-Up Cervical Cancer Elimination through Secondary Prevention Strategy (SUCCESS) and Centralized Laboratory Model for HPV Screening (CLAMS). The CLAMS Project builds on the progress on SUCCESS’ efforts in increasing access to optimal early diagnosis and treatment technology (HPV screening and thermal ablation). The project aims to contribute to increasing testing capacity of public facilities through the use of a centralized laboratory model to test HPV samples in highly urbanized cities of Metro Manila.
Building on footprint of the SUCCESS Project, the CLAMS Project aims to support demand generation and awareness activities for cervical cancer preventive services in the cities of Manila, Navotas, Quezon City, Taguig, and Muntinlupa through direct support for the conduct of health education and promotion activities. This includes reproduction and cascade of information, education and communication (IEC) materials to support delivery of preventive services at the community level.

The project aims to close gaps to reach and sustain HIV epidemic control through unified approaches to prevention and strengthened community systems. The project will improve uptake of combination HIV prevention services, improve effective coverage of non-discriminatory, person-centered, integrated services, and bolster resilient community systems that sustain quality HIV prevention services. The project will operate over a 5-year period.
The Director Finance and Administration reports to the Country Director. The Director of Finance and Administration is also required to serve as key personnel.
